Last Thursday just a little before noon the people of Hazard were
shocked
upon learning that Mrs. Charlotte Frazier Combs, wife of Deputy
Sheriff Johnny
Combs, had died. Mrs. Combs had submitted to an operation only a
few days
previous, but it was not thought by her family or friends that she
was dangerously
ill until just a short time before her death.The remains were
taken to Domino on a special train Friday, where they were
interred in the family burying ground. The funeral and interment
was attended by a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives.
Deceased was 29 years, 5 months and 5 days of age t the time of
her death.
She was the daughter of Zack Frazier, who lives on Defeated Creek
in Letcher
County. She leaves a husband and little daughter, father and
mother, three
brothers and two sisters, who have the sincere sympathy of a host
of friends
