KENTUCKY VENDETTA
MURDER OF THE
LAST WITNESSES
AGAINST THE FRENCH ASSASSINS IN PERRY COUNTY
Louisville, Ky., December 22.,-Reports
have just reached here of the murder of John and Andrew
Sloan, who were run down and killed in sight of the
courtroom in Hindman, Knott County on December 10th.
The affray is the outcome of the
celebrated French feud in Perry County, which has lasted
since 1876, and in which thirteen men have been
murdered. The Sloans were the last surviving witnesses
against the Frenches and it is doubtful if they can now
be convicted.
