Feltner, Mr. "Big" Danny Lee -born on October 7, 1946 departed this life on September 24, 2008 at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 17 days old. He was born at Butterfly, Kentucky the son of Edith Fields Feltner and the late Mose "Spud" Feltner, Jr. By occupation he was a heavy equipment operator for 25 years and was most recently employed by Leslie Resources. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #905 of Krypton, Kentucky and a 32nd Degree Shriner of Hillbilly Clan #31. He enjoyed fishing and cooking and had been a life-long resident of Perry County. He was preceded in death by his father: Mose Feltner, Jr. and by one grandson: Matthew Douglas Davidson. He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Edith Fields Feltner of Couchtown, Ky.; wife Kimberly M. At the time of his passing he was 94 years, nine months and 29 days of age. By occupation he was a retired coal miner and a member of the Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Orlena Feltner; wife Lillie Feltner; son James Feltner; daughter-in-law Aileen Feltner; brother Manuel Feltner and sister Nora Hamblin Mr. Feltner leaves the following relatives surviving: sons Minor Feltner and wife Shirley of Busy, Ky., Ed Feltner and wife Debbie of Hazard; grandchildren Erika Feltner, Keith Feltner, Todd Feltner and Jamie Feltner. Feltner, Oma ~ 83, of Happy, passed away Friday, February 13 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was born on September 27, 1925 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Garrett Combs and the late Elizabeth Feltner Combs. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Arlis Feltner; daughters Evelyn Roberts and Martha Joseph; four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Loretta Sizemore, Regenia Sizemore, Debbie Everidge, Dianna Feltner, Lillian Shepherd, Donna Shaw, Sandra Roberts, and Elizabeth Morgan; son Roscoe Feltner; sisters Myrtle Duncil and Martha Mills; brothers Bob Combs and Everett Combs; 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Feltner, Raymond ~ age 77 of Hamilton, OH passed away in
Fort Hamilton Hospital on
January 16, 2009. He was
born in Hazard, KY on February 28, 1931 the son of Carter and Myrtle (Hoskins)
Feltner. Raymond was employed at Champion International as a cutter operator for
41 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Champion Old Timers and
Kentucky Colonel. He was a faithful member of the
Laurel Avenue Church of Christ.
In 1950 he married Pauline Eversole in Hazard, KY. He is survived by his loving
wife of 58 years, Pauline Feltner of Hamilton, OH; a son, Michael (Debra)

Fields, Larry -61, husband of Mary Profitt Fields, passed away
Thursday, August 21 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Mr. Fields was
born June 20, 1947 in Perry County, the son of Dave and Velta Woods Fields.
He attended the Richmond House of Prayer. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music
with his brothers, fishing, and watching NASCAR. He is survived by one son,
Larry David Fields and Katrina of Richmond; daughters Donna Marie Sansone
and Michael of Sebastopol, Ca., Angela Ruth Matthews of Richmond; brother
Bill and Nita Fields of Richmond; sister Lois and Lee Crouch of Lexington;
and five grandchildren, Brooke Fields, Logan Fields, Isabella and Julianna
Sansone and Taylor Matthews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Fields and one sister, Donna
Fields. Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 25 at the Richmond
House of Prayer with Brother Owen Moody and Brother Jim Henson officiating.
Burial followed in the Brashear-Evans Cemetery in Hazard. Visitation was
Sunday, August 24 at the Richmond House of Prayer. Pallbearers were Michael
Sansone, Steve Friend, Brad Fields, Scotty Fields, Jimmy Crouch, Sean

and Ollie Adams Parks. Marina passed away Friday, March 13, 2009, at the UK

Fields, Polly Ann Baker - of Keavy, Kentucky, a former resident of
Stanford, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 15, at her home. At the
time of her death, she was 87 years of age. A native of Leslie County, she was
the daughter of the late Chris and Nannie Bell Kilburn Baker. Along with her
parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Barney Browning;
her second husband, Jess Fields; her son, Charles Edward Browning; her daughter,
Golda Boggs and her brothers, Fred, Clarence, Bill and George and her sisters,
Phronia Day and Fannie Coppage. A member of the Dix River Church of Christ, Mrs.
Fields is survived by her daughters, Lillian and husband Mac Stark of Foxfire
Village, North Carolina, Ruth Day of Stanford, Kentucky, Alma Browning of
Streamwood, Illinois, Lula Browning of Keavy and Teresa and husband Joe Nagy of
Loxahatchee, Florida. She is also survived by her son, Freddie Ray Browning of
Stanford; a step-daughter, Katheline Wells Smilax; two sisters, Oma Shepherd of
Wooten and Lula Asher of Hyden; her brother, Elmer Baker of Hazard and her
special care giver and friend, Peggy Boggs of Corbin. She was the grandmother
to twenty-four, great-grandmother to forty-three and great-great- grandmother to
nineteen. The family received friends on Sunday evening, February 17, at the
McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard where the funeral service was conducted on
Monday morning, February 18, at 11:00 AM with Bro. Russell Stidham officiating.
The burial was at the Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery. McKnight Funeral
Home, Main Street, Crab Orchard, Kentucky, was in charge of all arrangements.

Fitzpatrick, Mr. John Dishman III, born March 3, 1949, departed this life on September 21, 2008 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center, Hazard, Ky. He was 59 years, 6 months, and 18 days old. John was born at Hazard, Ky., the son of Ruby Stidham Fitzpatrick and the late John Dishman Fitzpatrick II. John retired from the Hazard Fire Dept., after 27 and one -half years of loyal and devoted service. John was a member of the Hazard Masonic Lodge. He was a life-long resident of Hazard residing at 717 Highland Ave. at the time of his death. Frazier, Thomas Robert -whose birth date was July 7, 1931, passed away on Friday, February 1. At the time of his death, he was seventy-six years of age. Mr. Frazier was the founding District Ranger for the Redbird Ranger District of the Daniel Boone National Forest. After leaving Redbird, he worked in Arkansas and Tennessee before moving to Atlanta where he retired from the Forestry Service in 1984. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Frazier was married to Carolyn Parman Frazier until her death in 2005. He is survived by his children, Jenniver Frazier of Knoxville, Tennessee and Joseph Frazier, M.S. of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Jessica and Elizabeth. Frisby, Robert J. -age 81 of Fairborn, OH passed away May 6, 2008 in the Hospice of Dayton following a brief illness. He was born January 1, 1927 in Lothair, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Madeline (Cooper) Frisby; and by his wife of 47 years, Lorene Frisby in 1994. Bob was employed as a Heat Plant Supervisor at WPAFB, Civil Engineering Squadron, until retirement in 1983. Prior to that he served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II and earned several decorations which included: WW II Victory Medal, Army of European Occupation Medal, and the African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He and his dog "Tiffany" were avid Kentucky Wildcat basketball fans and loved to watch every game. Bob will always be remembered as a caring, compassionate and loving man who always put others needs before his own. He is survived by his children, Robert J. Fugate, Mrs. Imogene Combs - died June 20, 2008 in her home in Decatur, Georgia, at the age of 80.Born in Hazard, Kentucky in November of 1927 to Pearl Huff Combs and George Curtis Combs, she was the beloved wife for over 40 years of Isaac S. Fugate, who predeceased her in 1993. A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in Journalism, Mrs. Fugate taught English and other subjects to hundreds of students at schools in Kentucky and Georgia. She retired as the head of the English Department at Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Georgia where she also advised the student newspaper staff. In addition to her service as a teacher, Mrs. Fugate contributed to the communities in which she lived in numerous ways, as a Girl Scout leader and in her service to the Methodist churches she faithfully attended. During the last decade, Mrs. Fugate devoted her life to the care of her mother, who died this year at the age of 102. Mrs. Fugate is survived by a daughter, Jane Fugate Thorpe of Atlanta, and two grandchildren, Scott Curtis Thorpe of Washington, D.C. and Sara Page Thorpe, a rising junior at Miami University of Ohio. Mrs. Fugate’s husband Isaac attended Alice Lloyd College, which provides educational opportunities to needy Appalachian young people, and contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Alice Lloyd College, Pippa Passes, Kentucky, 41844, “In Memory of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Fugate.” Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. on June 25 in the parlor in the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church Sunday School building in Atlanta, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the little Chapel in the same building. Ritchie Fugate. Lee passed away on Friday, March 13, 2009, at the Hazard ARMC
from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by

Granddaughter-Amanda Lee Slone. Lee is survived by his wife- Florine: 1 son-

her residence. She was the daughter of the late Lou Combs and the late Delphia
Young Combs. She was also preceded in death by her brothers James, Blaine,
Sydney, and Douglas Combs. She is survived by her husband, Louis Fugate; son
Gary Ray and Karen Fugate; sisters Helen Mason and Marie Johnson; grandchildren
Jeannie Hamblin and
Gary Fugate, Jr.; great grandchildren Katelin Moore and Michael Moore.

Fugate, Paul James ~ Age 72 of Farmersville, OH passed away September 27,
2009 at Grandview Hospital. Paul was born on December 12, 1936 in Hazard, KY to
Brack and Dorothy (Lewis) Fugate. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years,
Barbara L. (Rauch) Fugate; two daughters, Cindy Ruschmann and her husband,
Michael of Centerville, OH and Paula Steinke of Miamisburg, OH; six
grandchildren, Daniel, Adam, Joshua & Rachel Carter and Nicholas and Jared
Ruschmann; six great grandchildren; and two sisters Ann McClellan and Delma
DeHart. Paul was a 1956 graduate of Roosevelt High School, served in the Ohio
National Guard for eight years, employed with Standard Register for 17 years.
Later he did sales for several printing companies in the Dayton area and finally

Fugate, Mrs. Ruby -born February 8, 1937, departed this life on
Monday, November 17 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. She was 71 years, nine
months and nine days of age at the time of her passing. She was born at Bonnyman,
the daughter of the late Jasper Hamblin and the
late Fronia Gibson Hamblin. She was a life long resident of Perry County and
was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at Hiner, and thoroughly
enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Jasper and Fronia Hamblin; husband Charlie Fugate; daughter Lisa Faye Fugate;
brothers Matt and Dutch Hamblin; sisters Jean White and Claudia Baker and
grandson Michael Creech. She is survived by her son, Charles Glenn Fugate and
Charlotte of Lotts Creek; daughters Glenna Wagers and Willie, Jr. of Bulan,
Linda Boggs and the late Danny of Christopher, Brenda Taulbee and Samuel of
Ary, Connie Lynn Combs and Stephen of Lexington, Clara Jean Fugate and Edward
James of Combs and Sheila Ann Banks and Darren of London; brothers Garland
Hamblin of London and Gary Hamblin of Combs; sisters Rose Lee Barker of Combs
and Faye Holland of London. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16
great grandchildren. The visitation was held at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home
on East Main Street on Wednesday, November 19. Funeral services were conducted
Thursday, November 20 at the funeral home with Rev. Jesse Wagers officiating.
The burial followed in the Bush Cemetery at Pigeon Roost.
