Napier, Carolyn ~ 53, of Buckhorn, passed away  Thursday, March 19 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was the daughter  of the late William Baker and the late Della Mae Baker. She is survived  by daughters Della Kay Renee Rictie, Evia Ireane Baker, and Kristy Lee Turner;  sister Omia Marie Trent; brothers William James Baker, Dennis Baker, Jackie  Baker, and Kevin Baker and eight grandchildren. Arrangements were handled  by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard where the family received friends on  Saturday March 21. Napier, Clarence "Banjo" ~ age 68, of Madison Township, OH passed away March 10, 2009. He was born in Blue Diamond, KY and moved to Madison Township 32 years ago. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in Germany. He was employed as a machine repairman at Harrison Radiator/GM, in Dayton retiring in 1997 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed doing carpentry and playing video games. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles Mack and Mima (Ivy) Napier; one brother, David Napier; one sister, Martha Suttles; and a sister-in-law, Vicky Napier. Clarence is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patsy; one daughter, Dhana Napier Moore and Robert of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Matthew Hollenbaugh and Sara Hollenbaugh (Michael Merfert); great granddaughter, Zoey "Peanut" Merfert; two brothers, Tester Napier, Middletown and John Napier Judy, FL; sister-in-law, Beverly Napier, Middletown; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be March 16, 2009 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, OH followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. with Marvin Collier giving the eulogy. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, OH with military services by Middletown Combined Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Napier, Merle ~ 87, of Morehead, died Friday, December 19  at St. Claire Medical Center. He was the son of the late Belle and Jess  Napier and is also preceded in death by his son, Don Napier and a host of  bothers and sisters. He is survived by four sons, Merle Napier, Jr.,  Danny Napier, Wayne Napier and Bruce Napier; daughters Audrey Jean, Pat, Connie,  Brenda and Donna. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 15 great  grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral  Home of Hazard. Napier, Mona P. (Campbell) -Age 72, of Beavercreek, OH passed away on June 17, 2008, at her daughter's residence. She was born December 30 1935 in Hazard, KY to Astor Campbell and Sally Noble, who preceded her in death. Mona is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Charlie, of Beavercreek; three sons, Charles D., of Dayton, OH, Ernest E. and Susan, of Hillsboro, OH, Kenneth D., of Miamisburg, OH; a daughter, Phyllis J. Ison-Cohee and Jeff, of Beavercreek; 6 grandchildren, Heather, Eddie, J.C., J.D., J.J., and Kayleigh; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother; 3 sisters, and many other relatives and friends. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Miamisburg, OH. Napier, Ray Dean-of Vicco passed away on Saturday, March 15, at the Hazard A.R.H. Medical Center.  At the time of his death, he was thirty-six years of age.  He is survived by his father, Bobby Dean Napier of Vicco; his mother, Christine Grimes Napier; his step-mother, Brenda Napier and his daughter, Rae Anna Napier of Vicco.  His surviving siblings are Lillian Ann Riley, Josie Faye Napier, Roseanna Napier, Lonnie Dean and Robbie Dean Napier, all residents of Vicco and Calvin John Napier of Mt. Olivet.  Along with two nieces, one nephew and a host of other family and friends, he is also survived by a special friend, Hattie Mosley. The family received friends on Monday evening, March 17, at the Vicco Baptist Church where the funeral service was conducted on Tuesday afternoon, March 18, at 1:00 PM with Shawn Stump officiating.  The burial was at the Rest Haven Cemetery at Jeff. Neace, Gennis -70, formally of Perry County, passed away on November 1 at Kenwood House in Richmond. He was the son of the late Matt Neace and the late Clidis Toller. He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Crase; sons Ernest Neace, Danny Neace, David Neace and Anthony Neace; sisters Martha Campbell, Gladys Creech, Beulah Campbell, Ernie Neace and Shirley King; brother James Neace; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Neace, Isabella ~ 67, of Hazard, died Friday, December 5  at the Hazard ARH  Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Higie  Neace and the late Manda Kilburn. She is also preceded in death by her husband,  Estill Neace. She is survived by her daughters, Eula Jean and Jimmy Dean  Mullins, Anna Mae Mullins and Dorothy Hughes; sons Eli Neace, McKinley Neace and  Higie and Bridgett Neace; sisters Maggie, Martha Lula and Bob and Betty and  Charles; and brother Harlan and Mary. She is also survived by six  grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel  of Hazard. The visitation was held at the Pentecostal Workhouse on Sunday,  December 7. The funeral service was at the Pentecostal Workhouse the following  day with Estill Sizemore officiating. Neace, Marvin ~ 79, of Lost Creek, died Monday, December 1  at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was retired from General Motors  Company. He was the son of the late Marion Neace ad the late Adna  Neace. He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Neace; son Dwayne  Allen Neace; stepson Merril Deaton; stepdaughters Melinda Wright and Michelle  Stidham; sisters Myrtle Miller, Ada Neace, Jean Adkins, Evelyn Faye Kennedy and  Patricia Gurerra; brother Calvin Neace. He is also survived by five  grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family  and friends. Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View  Chapel of Hazard where the family received friends on Friday, December 5. The  funeral service immediately followed at the chapel. Burial was at Neace Cemetery  located at Lost Creek.

Neace, R. J. -71, of Medway, OH passed away June 28, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 23, 1927 in Hazard, KY, the son of the late Joe & Norcey (Hicks) Neace. He retired from the Teamsters Union. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ada; two sons, Danny Ray Neace of CA, Darrell (Sharon) Neace of VA; two granddaughters, Sara & Taylor Neace; three sisters, Thelma Noble, Lola Osborne both of Louisville, KY, Kathleen Copley of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Ray Neace of Jackson, KY, Dexter Neace of Lexington, KY; a host of other relatives and three special friends, Jim Brock, Jim Jones and Debbie Hill. R.J. was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed by his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Wireman and a sister, Laura Neace. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. July 1, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, OH. Niemeier, Mary ~ 85, of Bonnyman, died Monday, December 15  at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Bill  Neace and the late Katie Neace. Nemeth, Regina Nidiffer  ~ age 71 of Miamisburg, OH and formerly of Trotwood, OH peacefully passed on January 21, 2009. Regina graduated from M.C. Napier HS in Hazard, KY. She attended the Salem Church of God and was a resident of Heartland of Miamisburg, where she enjoyed bingo and was an advocate for other residents. She dearly enjoyed her family at Heartland both residents and staff. Throughout her life she worked at Optigage, Standard Register, Good Samaritan Crisis Care, and Eastway Behavioral Medicine. Regina was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Edward Nemeth, Sr.; her parents, John and Elizabeth Nidiffer; nephew, David Wilson; brothers: Harry, Stanley, and George Nidiffer. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (David) Schacherer of Indianapolis, IN; son, Edward (Lisa) Nemeth, Jr., of Centerville, OH; grandchildren: Jordan, Evan, Jonathan, Marissa, and Katherine; sisters: Grace Marsh, Juanita Hurt, Jenny (Don) Wilson; brothers: Jack (Pauline) Nidiffer, Carl (Dinah) Nidiffer, Dwight (Joyce) Nidiffer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather from 4-7:00PM on January 25, 2009 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering and from 10:30-11:30AM on January 26, 2009. Newman,  Abner -age 57, of Hazard, KY, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Hazard ARH Hospital in Hazard, KY.  He was the some of the late John Newman and Judy Fields Newman Adams.  He is survived by his one daughter, Anna L. Smith; one son, Johnny Newman; one brother, Arnold Newman; and five grandchildren.  Arrangements were handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, KY.  Funeral service was held on Thursday, August 4, 2005.  Interment at Kilburn Cemetery in Viper, KY. 

Noble, Iva Fugate -age 68, of Middletown, OH died November 12, 2008 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, OH. Iva was born in Hazard, KY on April 29, 1940 to Drew and Virginia (Noble) Fugate. He is survived by his  parents, Opal Morris and Bill Ray Noplis and Ray Morris; son Jordan Grigsby  Noplis; sister Christy Michelle Wisdom; brother Brandon Ray Morris; grandparents  Frank and Juanita Sturgill; special niece Airell Dakota Wisdom and a host of  uncles, great uncles and great aunts. He was preceded in death by Frank  and Virginia Noplis. Visitation was held Wednesday, December 17 at the  Brashear-Callahan Funeral Home of Viper. Noplis, Virginia -born June 21, 1928, departed this life on Monday, September 1 at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. She was 80 years, two months and 10 days of age at the time of her passing. She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Martin Pelfrey and the late Lilly Smith Pelfrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Noplis; brother Ishmael Pelfrey; sister Marie Kennedy; great grandchild Chloe Skyler Hall and one son-in-law, Merle Cox. She leaves the following relative surviving: son Ronnie Noplis of Hazard; daughters Wanda Pinson and Donald of Sidney, Ky., Connie Cox of Hazard and Tammy Kull and Steve of Frankfort; brothers Darrell Pelfrey and Willard Pelfrey of Berea. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 4 at the Engle-Walker Perry County Chapel on Morton Blvd. with Rev. James Hamblin officiating. The visitation was held at the chapel on Thursday evening.
