Wagers, Sharon Jean Campbell -57, formerly of Perry County, died Sunday, August 10 at her residence in Nicholasville, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Gene Baker and the late Edith Pratt. She is preceded in death by two brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Tammy Slatten and Jane and Todd Shultz.; sister Connie Baker; half-sister Kaye; half-brothers Ronnie and Donnie; grandchildren Justin Brewer, Becky Shultz, Michael Shultz and Caleb Slatten. Walker, Johnny -94, of Connersville, In., died peacefully in his sleep Tuesday morning, July 8, 2008, at Fayette Regional Health System where he had  been admitted on Saturday. He was born August 16, 1913 in Hazard,  Kentucky to Rev. John and Margaret Baker Walker.  On August 11, 1934, he  was married by his father in Hazard to the former Winnie Stacy.  Johnny was  a U.S. Army veteran of WW II serving with the 29th Division in Normandy,  Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, including the Battle of the  Bulge.  He delivered medicines to the front lines and was decorated with  the EAME Theater Ribbon with four bronze stars.  He retired from Ford Motor  Company, Connersville.  For several years, Johnny and Winnie had owned and  operated Johnny Walker Grocery on Waterloo Road in Connersville and in Raleigh,  Rush County.  He was a 60 year member of the Warren Lodge #15, F.& A.M.  and was widely known for his eloquent ability to lead memorial Masonic services  from memory.  He was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church. Johnny  was an avid outdoorsman and annually went fishing in Canada for three  weeks.  His love of walking and hiking led him to hike the Jenny Wiley and  Appalachian Trails.  In his leisure, he enjoyed gardening and shopping for  antiques. Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Winnie of Connersville;  three daughters and sons-in-law: JoAnne Long and Jerry, Margo Anderson and Myrl,  all of Viera, Florida, Louise Dixon and Lonnie of Connersville; a sister:  Elizabeth Marie Deaton of Richmond who is the last surviving member of the  pioneering family of Dr. Roderick R. Baker; seven grandchildren: Sara Wilson,  Cynthia Clarke, who has written a book titled “Johnny Walker: Memories of My  Grandfather”, Linda Winkler, Amy Cook, John Cook, Lori Shaw and Stacy Russell,  eight great-grandchildren: Beth Ann Wilson, Kathy East, Jenna Clarke, Scott  Winkler, Christopher Brittain, Garrett Russell, Colin Russell and Tori Shaw;  several nieces and nephews. His parents and four brothers, French, Asbel,  Frank and Sherman Walker and an infant sister, Marguerite, preceded him in  death. Memorial Masonic services were be conducted by Warren  Lodge #15, F. & A.M. at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel,  Connersville followed by funeral services with Rev. Robert E. Walker, Mary B. -age 53, of Hazard, Ky., died Tuesday, June 10 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her father, James Hunt. She is survived by her mother, Pearlee Walker Hunt; daughters Crystal Hunt, Marquetta Walker, Shantal Hughes and Jamie Walker; sons Freddy Hunt, Mark Hunt and Clinton Walker; and beloved friend Julius Walker. She is also survived by one brother, seven sisters, a host of grandchildren, family and friends. Walker, Otis -76, of Georgetown, Ky., formerly of Midway, Ky., widower  of Bobbie Jean Sorrell Walker, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Central  Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Ky. He was born February 17, 1932 in Perry  County, Ky., the son of the late Cowan Walker and Carrie Combs Walker.   Otis retired from D. Lehman’s and Son after 30 years of dedicated  employment. He is survived by seven children, June A. Mason, Sidney  L. Walker, Otis J. Walker, Jerry Walker, Chris Walker, Joseph W. Walker, Glenn  Walker and his wife, Judy, 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, family  members, and friends. Walters, C. Jane Carder -age 84, of Hamilton, OH died July 21, 2008 at Garden Manor Extended Care Center. She was born on May 8, 1924 in Hazard, KY, the daughter of George L. and Stella (Stacey) Carder. She was educated in the Kentucky public schools. She was employed as a companion for the elderly with the Home Nursing Agency. She was a member of St. Ann Church. On May 15, 1946 in Cincinnati she married Vincent Walters and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1994. She is survived by her children Michael V. (Mary Ann) Walters, David S. (Angelica) Walters, Marsha A. (Robert) Mick-Moody and Joseph P. (Cyndi) Walters; her grandchildren Wendy, Angela, Joel, Andrew, Katie Jo, Abby, Jennifer, Jessica and Isabella; great-grandchildren Conner, Colin and Rylie; sister Marian (Ray) Young; brothers George (Pauline) Carder and Donald Ray (Connie) Carder; She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Donna Gail, step-mother Ollie Carder, siblings Jack, Wilbert, Glenn, Herman, Wade and Betty Jo. Watts, Garney ~ 73, of Hazard, died Monday, December 1 at  the Hazard ARH Medical Center. He was a retired drill operator for Kem Coal  Co. He was the son of the late Gilbert Watts and the late Mahala  Haddix. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Watts; daughters Derona and  Richard Everage and  Linda Michelle Watts; sons Bobby and Victoria Watts,  Garney Edward Watts and Roy Wayne Watts; four sisters and three brothers;  grandchildren Travis Lee Watts, Devin Everage, Madison Everage, Mahala Amber  Watts and Martin Andrew Watts and step grandchild Jackson  Everage. Watts, Harry  Sr, the husband of Patty Morgan Watts,  whom he married on January 31, 1954, passed away on Sunday, January 20, at the  Hazard A.R.H. Hospital. At the time of his death, Mr. Watts was 74 years of age.  The son of the late Luther and Virginia Combs Watts, he was born in Vicco on  December 21, 1933. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his  sister, Billie Pennington.  Mr. Watts got into the mobile home business in  Prestonsburg with his cousin, Herbert Haynes, in 1964. The Prestonsburg  operation was one of seven locations the two had. In his early days of working  with his cousin, Mr. Watts delivered mobile homes before he started selling  them. In the early 1970s, Mr. Watts and his wife founded Watts Mobile Homes,  Inc., which was located on KY 15 North in Hazard before moving to their present  location when the Daniel Boone Parkway was completed. Along with his  family and business, he was devoted to his Lord and Savior. He has served as a  Deacon at Hazard First Baptist Church, New Hope Church and the Lothair United  Methodist Church. Along with his wife and business partner, Patty M.  Watts, he is survived by his two daughters, Sandy and husband Ted Henry and  Tricia and husband Sam Hall and his son, Harry Watts, Jr. and wife Jamie, all of  Hazard. He is also survived by his sister, Debbie Watts Snowden of Richmond and  his eight grandchildren. The family received friends on Tuesday evening,  January 22 at Maggard Mountain View Chapel where the funeral service will be  conducted today, Wednesday, January 23, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Barnett and  Rev. Dan Griffiths officiating. Entombment will be at the Mountain Views  Memorial Gardens in Hazard. Active pallbearers were John Arnett, John Smith,  David Farler, John Hall and Harold Brashear. Honorary pallbearers were Elrod  Smith, Roy Campbell, Jerry Moses, Rocky Leveridge, Ronnie Burns, Sam Hall and  Ted Henry. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made  to the New Hope Crisis Center. Wells,  William Earl "Bill" ~ Age 69 of Dayton, OH passed away July 22, 2009. He was born October 2, 1939 in Hazard, KY. He was the founder of Executive Marketing Alliance of Princeton, NJ, and served as a marketing executive and consultant for various businesses. He is survived by his adoring children, Lori (Wells) Prew and her husband Paul, of North Easton, MA; MartiAnne (Wells) Johnson and her husband Bret of San Antonio, TX and Jeffrey Wells and his wife Christi of Suwanee, GA. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren Jacqueline, Christina, Jordan, Katelyn, Allison, and Caroline. Bill was the brother of Wanda (Wells) Meade, Joel, Irvin ("Butch"), Richard, Kenneth and Robert Wells and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Westfall, Helen Frances "Fran" Campbell ~ age 82, of Hamilton, OH died March 13, 2009 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on May 18, 1926 in Yerkes, KY, the daughter of Milo and Linda (Baker) Campbell. She was educated in the Hamilton public schools graduating from Hamilton High School in 1945. She was employed at Sonitrol Security retiring in 1992. She was a member of First Church of God. Fran raised her daughters alone and they were her pride and joy.  She is survived by her devoted daughters Linda (Gary) Burton, Pamela (Jim Watt) Rowe and Beth (Marvin) Vest; 5 grandchildren Craig (Stacey) Rhodis, Erin Hipp, Jordyn Vest, Jenna Vest and Dylan Vest; 4 great-grandchildren Lauren, Madison, Emma and McKenzie; sister Ruth (Delbert) Mallicote; special nephew Richard Mallicote; her special friends Jean Neal and Kate Richardson. White, Margaret Ann -born April 2, 1934, departed this life on Thursday, September 4 at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. She was 74 years, five months and two days of age at the time of her passing. She was born at Meadow Branch, the daughter of the late Riley Morris and the late Virgie Campbell Morris. She was a retired nurse’s aid from the Hazard ARH and a life long resident of Perry County. She was also a member of the Buckhorn Church of God. She enjoyed quilting, going to church and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Vires. She leaves the following relatives surviving: husband Tom White of Yerkes; daughter Rhonda Roberts of Yerkes; sisters Peggy Sizemore of Austin, In., Helen Hoskins of Milan, Mi. and Linday White of Austin, In. White, Roger Dale ~ born March 4, 1960, passed away  on April 10 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was 49 years of age at the time  of his passing. He was born in Seymour, In., the son of Vernon White and  Dottie Couch White. He was a resident of Perry County, and by occupation he was  a retired restaurant manager. He is survived by his parents, Vernon and  Dottie White of Yerkes; brothers Kenneth White of Buckhorn, Kevin White of  Yerkes, Michael White of Yerkes, Darrell White of Altro, and Donald White of  Yerkes; sister Lillie White of Busy, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other  relatives and friends. Williams, Mrs. Alta Mae Fugate-who was born on September 12, 1920, at Ary, passed away on Tuesday,  January 15, at the Cedar Ridge Health Campus in Cynthiana. At the time of her  death, she was 87 years of age. She was the widow of Rev. Dewitt Williams who  had pastured the Dwarf Baptist Church, where she was a member. Mrs. Williams, a  homemaker, was also active in church work. Along with her husband, she was also  preceded in death by her parents, Sam Martin and Flora Bell Stone Fugate, her  son, Robert Dewitt Williams, a grandson, Anthony Cornett and a great-grandson,  Matthew Miller. Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Myron Granville  Williams and wife Cathy of Knoxville, Tennessee. Earl Gordon Williams and wife  Carol of Lewisport, Kermit Williams and wife Donna of Clearcreek and Gerald  Keith Williams of Fisty. Her surviving daughters are Brenda Lucille Cornett and  husband Sidney of Louisville, Jewell Sue Combs and husband Rondal of Bethel,  Ohio and Deanna Fugate and husband Ronald of Hazard. Her surviving siblings are  Ellis Fugate and wife Lillie of Ary, Eldridge Fugate of Corbin and Jewell Evans  of Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, a host of  great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He had been living in Exeter for the past 22 years. He formerly worked as a roust about on an oil rig. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Evelyn Mullins Williams. Williams, Mrs. Imogene - was born on October 21, 1938 and departed this life on October 24, 2008 at the age of 70 years, 0 months, and 3 days. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Burkhart and the late Eliza Ritchie. Mrs. Williams was a resident of Rockingham, VA at the time of her death. She worked as a restaurant cook in the food industry. Some of her hobbies included watching television and playing games. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Jason Bradley Willams; and two brothers: Leo and Herb Burkhart. She leaves surviving the following relatives: three sons: Michael Williams of Ary, KY, David Williams and Gary Willams both of Harrisonburg, VA; one daughter: Judy Williams of Harrisonburg, VA; three brothers: Benny Burkhart of Booneledge, Jackie Burkhart of Hardburly, and James Burkhart of Dunkirk, IN; two sisters: Martha Ann Gross of Combs, KY, and Alma Wooton of Pigeonroost; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Williams, Joshua Brian Walter "Joshua"  -who was born on March 26, 1996, departed this life on Friday, February 22.  At the time of his death, he was eleven years old.  Josh was born in Hazard, the son of Barbara Irene Stidham Williams.  He was a member of the Holiness Tabernacle Church of God in Knott County.  Josh was a fifth grade student at Chavies Elementary School, and he enjoyed bicycles, four-wheelers, working in the garage and riding dirt bikes.  Josh was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Walter Couch, Jr. and his great-grandmother, Melda Stidham. Josh is survived by his mother, Barbara Williams and his sister Andrea Samantha Williams; his grandparents, Raleigh and Sheila Stidham and a very special friend, Isaac Miller all of Barwick; his great-grandmother, Maxine Couch of Willard; aunts and uncles, Kasey and Byron Owens, Tosha Stidham, Chris Baker and Nannie Lynn Stidham and cousins Haydyn Owens and Jayden Stidham.  Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other relatives, he is also survived by two close friends, Wayland Neace and Trayvon Noble. She was born on December 14, 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to James Harold and Faye Fugate Begley.  She was the wife of Thomas Williams.  She was also a retired Retail Worker. Other survivors; 1 brother James Harold Begley Jr. of Bulan, 3 sisters; Sherry Lynn Young of Bulan, Pamela LaWarre of Tip City, Oh. and Angela Adams of Hardburly; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family and friends.Visitation was held on Monday March 22, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman, and additional services were held Monday Night at 7 p.m.    Funeral Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. March 23, 2010, officiating were Jack Carter and Paul Couch, burial followed at the Riverside Cemetery in Wabaco, under the direction of the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home of Hindman.

Williams, Wanda Lee -born January 4, 1932 at Blue Diamond, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, June 5 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky. At the time of her passing she was 76 years, five months and one day of age. By occupation, Wanda was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sally Green Long; husband Leonard Williams; son Harry Clayton Williams; grandson Michael Williams and brother Bill Long. She leaves the following relative surviving: sons Randy Williams of Lexington, Ky., Everette Williams and Diane of 16 Mile Creek, Johnny Williams and Dinah of Lexington, Leonard Williams, Jr. of Lexington; daughter Edith Howard of Lexington; sisters Zola Faye Feltner of Hamilton, Ohio, Shirley Daughtery of Morgantown, Ky. She was also survived by nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends that will be left behind to mourn her passing. Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 8 at Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard, Ky. Burial was at the Pollard Cemetery at 16 Mile Creek. Woods, Patricia Lynn ~ 39, of Viper, died Sunday, December  7 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington after a long battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her mother, Deretha Jane Arthur;  grandmother Stella Engle; uncle Rick Engle; step brothers Marvin Hamilton,  Mervin Hamilton and Ricky Joseph. She is survived by her husband, Dexter  G. Woods; daughter Samantha Elaine Woods and fiancé Shane Stamper; son Josef  Andrew and Autumn Woods; grandfather Coy Harold Engle; step fathers Rickie  Arthur and Oakley Joseph; sister Brenda and Jamie Clontz; brothers Daniel and  Carla Hamilton and Brian and Terry Engle; step sisters Patsy Combs, Rebecca  Engle, Ilene Hamilton, Glenna Adams and Velta Farler; step brothers Bonnell  Hamilton, Darrell Hamilton, Wallace

Visitation was held at the Upper Middle Fork  Church of Christ on Wednesday, December 10. The funeral service was conducted at  the church on Thursday, December 11 with Junior Shell officiating. Wooton, B. Charles -age 62, of Middletown, OH passed away December 17, 2008 at Glen Meadows Nursing Home. He was born August 28, 1946 in Viper, KY to Rufus and Ivory (Shepherd) Wooton. Charles taught Construction Trades for Warren County Career Center, retiring in 1997 after 30 years of service. He also taught Industrial Arts, coached and was the Union Rep. for Middletown City Schools. He was a member of the Knight of Pythias-Lafayette Lodge # 37. He was preceded in death by his parents. Charles is survived by his sons, Duane (Amy) Wooton of Middletown, OH and Steven (Stacey) Wooton of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Victoria Wooton, Ethan Wooton, Rachel Wooton and Blake Middleton; brothers, Tommy (Judy) Wooton of Viper, KY and Mitchell Wooton of Lafollette, TN; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends and former students, including: John Wonderly, Stevie King, Teddy Robertson, Britt Thacker, Devin Hueing and J.T. Yangula. Visitation will be held on December 19, 2008 from 5-8:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held December 20, 2008 at 10:00 am also at the Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Ferrell officiating. Interment will be at the North Monroe Cemetery. Wooton, Brant - of Hazard, the husband of Margie Wooton, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, at the Hazard A.R.H. Hospital.  At the time of his death, he was eighty-eight years of age.  Mr. Wooton was retired as Maintenance Supervisor at the Hazard Vocational School. Along with his widow, he is survived by his daughter, Nancy Walker of Hazard and three sons, Darryl Wooton of Hazard, Ralph Wooton of Colson and Jerry Wooton of  Bonnyman.  He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren .The family received friends on Thursday evening, March 6, at Maggard Brothers Funeral Home where the funeral service was conducted on Friday morning, March 7, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Wooton, Dr. Clyde Darraugh -who was born on April 28, 1924, at Glowmar-Stormking, Kentucky,  passed away on Thursday, February 28.  The time of his death, Dr. Wooton was 83 years of age.  Dr. Wooton was the son of the late Dennis B. and Alta York Wooton. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by one sister, Jean Campbell. He was a life-long resident of Perry County and a member of the Buckhorn Presbyterian Church.  After obtaining his Doctorate degree, he practiced Optometry for fifty-six years in Hazard.  In the early years of his practice, he also maintained an office in Hyden.  He was a member of the Kentucky Optometric Association, and he was a Veteran of World War II, where he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.  Dr. Wooton also represented District 93 in the Kentucky Legislatures House of Representatives 1954 session. Dr. Wooton is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Keen Wooton of Buckhorn; their sons, Robert Darraugh Wooton of Fairfax, Virginia, and Dwight David Wooton of Buckhorn; their daughter, Sharon Denise Wooton Redd of Hazard; he brother, Dennis Patrick and wife Veda Wooton of Buckhorn and his sister, Eileen Sandlin and husband Jim Ingram of Jackson. Along with a host of other relatives and friends, Dr. Wooton is also survived by three grandchildren, Dwight David Wooton, Jr. and wife of Stephanie of Cornettsville, Rebecca Ayn Redd and Robert Allyn Redd, both of Hazard.A Memorial Service for Dr. Wooton was conducted on Monday afternoon, March 3, at The Buckhorn Presbyterian Church with the church's co-pastors, Tom and Gayle Burns officiating. Wooton, Della ~ 82, of Hazard, died Sunday, December 21 at  her residence. She was the daughter of the late John Phillips and the  late Prudie Collins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward  Wooton and son Eddie Ray Wooton. She is survived by her daughters,  Barbara Deaton and Carolina Edwards; sister Mabel Carroll; seven grandchildren,  two great grandchildren and a host of  family and friends. Wooton, Prudie Colwell -born September 27, 1923 at Confluence, Ky., departed this life on Saturday, June 21 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. At the time of her passing she was 84 years, eight months and 24 days of age. By occupation, she was a self employed restaurant owner of Wooton Dairy Bar at Big Willard. Her hobbies included quilting, embroidery, cooking and painting. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Elsie Feltner Colwell; husband Charles Curtis Wooton; daughters Hazel, Freda and Jackie; two stillborn sons; sisters Zelphia Fields and Mag Fugate; brothers Martin and Burley Colwell; and half-brother Taylor Colwell. She leaves the following relatives surviving: son Jerry Wooton and Elizabeth of Woodbridge, Va.; daughter Janice Wooton of Busy; half-brothers William “Bud” Colwell of Indiana, Ciscro Colwell of Indiana; half-sisters Zola Ruth of Indiana and Jean Hoskins of Indiana; special friends Jo Morris, Clayton, Allen and Michelle Noble; grandchildren Charles, Teri, Marilou, Jay and Gregory. She is also survived by two great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends that will be left behind to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Prudie Colwell Wooton were held on Tuesday, June 24 at Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Everett Spencer, Charles Morris, Clarence Howard and Ralph Howard officiating. Burial took place in the Colwell-Feltner Cemetery at the Daniel Boone Parkway in Perry County, Ky. Visitation was held on Monday, June 23 at the funeral home.

Workman, John Gregory - of Winfield, West Virginia, the husband of Sharon Workman, died on Wednesday, March 12, in Winfield.  He was self-employed as a heavy equipment mechanic, operating Workman's Repair Service.  A one-hundred per-cent family man, he dedicated much of his energy to his wife, daughter and family.  He was also an Assistant Coach for the Winfield High School Girls Softball Team. Along with his wife, Sharon, he is survived by his parents, John and Nina Workman; his daughter, Kristen Workman; two sisters, Lorrie and husband Wade Lindon and Heather and husband Andy Musick; his brother, Jamie and wife Stephanie Workman; he grandmother, Jackie Workman and his mother-in-law, Marie Combs.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family received friends on Saturday afternoon, March 15, from noon until 3:00PM.  Interment was at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Hazard.
