IN MEMORIAM

TOM  CORNETT

With a sad and broken heart, by the help of the Lord, I will try to write the obituary of my dear husband. Tom was born October 3, 1901 and died July 1, 1978.  survivors are his wife Sylvania, one son, Tommy Lynn, 7 stepdaughters: Jewel, Trela, Cora, Jessie, Goldie, Glenda and Virgie. 5 stepsons: James, Charlie, Grover, Jr., Billy and Roy. 3 sisters: Nancy Everage, Hattie Mullins and Cassie Mullins. 23 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Tom joined the Old Regular Baptist Church on August 2, 1962. He took up his fellowship with the Little Rose church at Big Branch. He was a good and faithful member and attended church regularly, as long as he was able. he was a good Christian, a kind and living husband and good father. We all loved him very much. Tom loved all his brothers and sisters in the church and we all miss him. When there was work to be done at the church, he worried because he wasn't able to help, and he did help as long as he was able to get there. Now Tom has gone home to live with Jesus around the white throne of God, where there will be no more sorrow or pain to bear. We feel our loss is Heaven's gain.
