IN MEMORIAM

JAMES NICKLES

With a sad and broken I will try to write the obituary of my dear husband. He was born June 22, 1910 and deceased December 5, 1977 at the age of 67 years 5 months and 13 days.  He was the son of the late Maston Nickles and Eliza Brewer Nickles. He was
married to Mima Hudson Nickles the daughter of the late Higha Hudson and Mary Jane Cornett Hudson on February 25, 1930.  To this union was born 7 children, 1 son- Bobby Gene Nickles, 4 girls - Marbeth Slone, Marie Newland, Catherine South, Margarett Collins, and 2 preceded him in death Hazel and John Wes. He also leaves 11grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and 1 brother Amos Nickles to mourn his death. He fully believed in the Old Regular Baptist Church. He was talking to me one day about the church. He said it didn't matter whether his name was on the book down here as long as it was on record in Heaven. Now we feel our loss here on earth is Heaven's gain. We feel that his soul is gone to a home where there will be no heart attacks, no sorrow or pain.  Children, I feel if you will seek the Lord with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength you can go to where Daddy's soul is and there remain where the walls are made of Jasper and the streets are made of gold, where there'll be no dying or growing old. I miss him so much. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sleep on darling I feel like it
won't be but a short time until I will be with you where we will never have to part again.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
The precious one has gone only
In life, but is till in our hearts.
