KENTUCKY KILLING
Louisville, Dec. 02 --- A special dispatch to the Courier Journal
from Catlettsburg says: Oct. 20, in Floyd County, KY., ANDY HALL
was shot and killed by men concealed in brush. A boy with HALL
recognized the man who did the shooting as RICHARD VANCE. A few
minutes later VANCE, ANDY SLOAN, and LINVILLE HIGGINS were seen
near the scene of the murder, all armed with guns. Yesterday the
father of HALL swore out warrants against the three men and they
were arrested and sent to jail to await trial for murder. The
three men are in the employ of revenue officials as spies on
moonshiners in the mountains and procurers of witnesses against
them.
