home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Middletown Regional
Hospital. He was born October 22, 1945 in Whitesburg, [Letcher County],
Kentucky, the son of Thomas Easterling and Denise (Asbury) Easterling. Mr.
Easterling is survived by his daughters, Patricia (husband, Michael) Scott of
Middletown, Brenda (husband, Robert) Viars of Middletown: his ex-wife, Iva Riley
of Middletown; six grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Ramsey of Virginia, and
Helen of Virginia; a brother, Raymond Easterling of Wise, Virginia. He was
preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Bob, Darrel, Donald and
Ralph. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the
Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Reverend Norman Meadows
officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial
will be at the Woodside Cemetery.

resident of north Ridgeville for 45 years. Phyllis was a homemaker who enjoyed
reading, playing bingo, gambling, gardening and yard sales. She also enjoyed
traveling with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bobby; 2

Eden, Willie Ray (Bill) -age 88, of Martin, husband of the late Lucille
Daniels Eden, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the St. Mary's Hospital
in Huntington, West Virginia following an extended illness. He was born on April
3, 1917 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He was the son of the late William Spencer
and Maggie Victoria Jerden Eden. He was a retired coal miner; a U.S. Navy and
World War II veteran; a member of the Amvets in Martin; and a member of the
Pentecostal Church. He is survived by a son: William Ray Eden (Georgia) of St.
Augustine, Floridal; three daughters: Sylvia Jean Rigor (Wayne) of Grayson,
Montana (Patsy) Wiggins (Raymond) of St. Augustine, Florida and Phyllis Hunter
(Russell) of Martin; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6
great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded
in death by a daughter: Billie Joan McCallister; five brothers: Ira, Willard,
Burt, Ora and Ed Eden; two sisters: Laura Holloway and Minnie Burton; a
grandson: Billy and a great-grandson: Benjamin. Funeral services will be Friday
(March 31st) at 1 pm at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin with Jerry
Miller and Lowell Robinson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at 3 pm at

Elam, John -Age 87 went home to be with the Lord, April 25, 2006. He
was born April 9, 1919 in Jarvis Store, Kentucky to John Nathan and Alice
(Claus) Elam. He attended Knox Central High School in Kentucky. He married Grace
Vito in 1940 and was married 65 years. John was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He
has been a member of First Church of God, Mason Grange, Farm Bureau, Warren
County Water and Soil Conservation District, 23 years of 4-H involvement and
Masonic Lodge No. 678. He was employed with Jackson & Elam Sod Company, Agri
Urban, and City of Lebanon street superintendent. He is survived by his loving
wife Grace; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Dorothy Elam; daughters, Barb
(Doug) Allen, and Bevery (George) Campbell; son, Barry (Vicki) Elam; seven
grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Visitation was Sunday, April 30,

Tuesday, March 14, in Miami Valley Hospital. Malinda was born February 18, 1920
in Breathitt County,Kentucky the daughter of the late Sam and Ruth Herald.
Malinda was preceded in death by her husband Claude in 1987 and sons Michael and

Everage, Rev. Archie-HINDMAN -
Reverend Archie Everage, 76, of Carrie, passed away Sat., Jan. 22, 2005 at the
Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He became a mission on Montgomery Creek
in 1952 and was ordained as a minister in 1957. The Montgomery Mission broke
from the Hindman Baptist Church and began the Montgomery Baptist Church in 1958.
He has been the only Pastor of the Montgomery Baptist Church. The old church
burned in 1971 and a new one was built at its present site at
Carrie, Kentucky in 1973. Reverend Archie Everage was Knott County Clerk for 12
years, and Knott County Treasurer for eight years. Survivors include his wife,
Evelee, one son, Archie Wayne Everage, three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Sheila Rae)
Noe, Mrs. Greg (Debra Kay) Reynolds and Miss Judy Combs; one brother, Joe Jr.
Everage; one sister, Thelma Patrick; seven grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren. Funeral services for Reverend Archie Everage will be Tues., Jan.
25, 2005 at 1 pm at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel. Visitation will be
after 2 pm Mon. at the Chapel. Hindman Funeral Services at Hindman in charge of

Everage, Bessie Napier -82, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the Hazard
Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Arch and Polly Adams Napier.
She is survived by 4 sons, Dana Lewis of Shelbyville; Ronnie Lewis and James
Ricky Lewis, both of Jeff; David Lewis of Hazard; 2 daughters, Porcia Gay Hall
of Hindman; Wanda Fay Collins of Lothair; 2 brothers, Kendrick Napier and
Willard Napier, both of Ohio; ex-husband and special caregiver, Nick Everage of
Jeff; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren host of relatives and friends.
Funeral was conducted Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home
with L.C. Moore officiating, burial in the Resthaven Cemetery in Jeff.

Everage, John P. -76, of Louisville, formerly of
Versailles passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the VA Medical Center in
Louisville. He was born at Hindman in Knott County, Kentucky on July 13, 1929
the son of Aster and Polly Ann Morgan Everage. He was married to Eva Wilson on
January 22, 1954 and she survives. Other survivors include three sons John C.
Everage and his wife Krista of Santa Monica, California, Brad and Susan of
Simpsonville, Kentucky, and Chad and Kelly of Louisville; three daughters Wendy
Neill of Cincinnati, Michelle Crawford and her husband Gene of Louisville, and
Tracey Schutte and her husband Mike of Charlotte, North Carolina; 12
grandchildren; two brothers Carter Everage and his wife Grace of Milan, and R.C.
Everage and his wife Reva of Florida; one sister Elaine Kemker of Milan. He was
preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Mr. Everage was a
1947 graduate of Versailles High School and a 1951 graduate of Purdue
University. He
served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force during Korea and also taught basic
and advanced pilot training. He received the Korean Service Medal, United
Nations Service Medal, Air Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. Mr.
Everage was a former high school teacher at Versailles and was a former office
manager of the Production Credit Association office in Versailles. He served as
vice-president of the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Louisville for 16
years and with his wife had owned and operated the Court House Inn in
Versailles. He was a member of the Versailles American Legion. Funeral services
will be held Monday, October 31st at 1pm at the Versailles Baptist Church with
Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in
Versailles with military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 30th from 2pm to 5pm at the Stratton-Karsteter
Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Versailles American

Kentucky died Friday, October 28, 2005, at Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox,

Eversole, Abe 93, formerly of Germantown, died January 4, 1997 at
Christel Manor Nursing Facility in Miamisburg. He was born February 13, 1903 in
Weaver, Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of Susan Catherine and Henderson
Eversole. He had retired from Kurtz-Kasch in 1968. He was preceded in death by
his wife, Gladys Amanda. Survivors include three children, Melvin Roger

Eversole, Anna Mae (Moore) 95, of Dayton, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 11,
1998 at Crestview Manor in Beavercreek. She was a consecrated Deaconess and
charter member of the Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death
by her beloved husband, Thomas H. (Red) Eversole, of 62 years; her daughter, C.
Pauline Pearcy, and a grandson, Tommy Purks. She is survived by her three
daughters, Mrs. Harry (Loretta) Stevenson, Mrs. Frank (Alberta) Smith, both of
Dayton, and Mrs. Florence Jones of DeLand, Florida; three sisters, Hallie Morris
of Belbrook, Elizabeth Stoehr of Kettering, Bessie Binder of French Lick,
Indiana, a brother, Donald Moore of Jamestown; seven grandchildren; 23
great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren, and numerous other
relatives. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. today (Monday) at the Tobias
Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervilet Ave., Dayton. Pastor Timothy Gocha
officiating. Internment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday. The
family wishes to thank Crestview Manor for the loving care given to their mother
and grandmother.

Eversole, Donnie -76, of Hazard, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the
Hazard Medical Center. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was the son of the Late
Rolan Eversole and Florida Morris. He is survived by 1 daughter, Terry K.
Hafley of
Georgetown; 1 son, Gregory Lee Eversole of Owenton; 2 sisters, Vearl Marcum and
Ann Stidham; 2 brothers, Curt Eversole and Arnold Eversole; 2 grandchildren,
Donald Charles Eversole and Amy Lee Samples. Funeral will be conducted
today, Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Maggard Brothers Chapel with Robert Milam
and Edward Bishop officiating, burial in the Eversole Cemetery in Typo. Maggard
Brothers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Eversole, James E. 60, of Enon, Ohio, died Monday, September 21, 1992 in
Charlotte, North Carolina. An area resident since 1968, he was born July 13,
1932 in Hardburly, Kentucky, the son of the late James I. and Nora (Valentine)
Eversole. Mr. Eversole served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and
Vietnam wars, retiring at the rank of staff sergeant in 1968 after more than 20
years of military service. He was employed as a truck driver for ABF Freight and
was a member of Teamsters Local 957, Dayton; the Veterans of Foreign Wars George
Rogers Clark Memorial Post 8437, and Orientation Group Alumni Association,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Survivors include his wife, Jimmie; a son and
daughter-in-law, James lee and Karen Eversole of Enon; two granddaughters,
Lyndsey and Lacey; two sisters, Mildred Sheppard of Franklin and Ena McAtee of
Williamstown, Kentucky; a sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Jack Silvius of
Grange, Indiana; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Sue Eversole of Howe,
Indiana; a brother-in-law and wife, Bruce and Christine Lee of Livingston,
Tennessee; a sister-in-law and husband, Betty and Tim Stephens of Arlington,
Texas and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.
tomorrow at the Belton Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road,
Fairborn, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Rev. Clyde

Eversole, Jason Dean ~ age 33 of Hyden, passed away December 19, 2009, at the
Hazard ARH. He was born May 4, 1976, in Hyden, the son of Dean & Sherry Lynn
Walters Eversole. He was a coal miner. He is survived by 1 step-daughter:
Karrianna Burton of Hyden; 1 brother: Jimmy Dean (Frankie Jo) Eversole of Hyden;
1 sister: Lisa (Robert Mitchell) Morgan of Hyden; 2 special cousins: Arlene
Eversole Fouts of Hyden & Bert Allen Eversole of Brookville, Indiana; 2 nieces &
1 nephew: Honesty Dalena Eversole, Cindy Lee Morgan & Mitchell Lee Morgan; a
host of relatives & friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 22,
2009, at 1 p.m. at the Rockhouse Pentecostal Church of Hyden with Columbus
Hensley officiating. Burial followed at the Eversole Family Cemetery at Lower
McIntosh JD Branch Road in Hyden, under the direction of the Nelson Frazier
Funeral Home, Hindman.

Eversole Jr., Johnnie ~ age 65 of Hindman, passed away April 9, 2010, at home. He was born July 31, 1944, in Perry County, the son of the late Johnnie Eversole Sr. and Shirley Williams Eversole. He was a Retired Coal Miner and the husband of Alma Couch Eversole. He is survived by 3 sons: James Mullins of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Justin Mullins & Ryan Eversole both of Hindman; 5 daughters: Lachana Mullins of Hindman, Jennifer Mullins of Hindman, Renee Couch of Lotts Creek, Kimberly Johnson of Hazard, & Elizabeth Cook of Beaver; 1 sister: Connie Slone of Pinetop; Grandchildren: Kristen Thomas, Hunter Thomas, Sophia Cook, Brooklynn Johnson & Benjamin Brock Holland; Special Sister-in-law: Verda Holland; and a host of family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents & 1 sister: Phyllis Eversole Madden. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 3 p.m.at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman with military honors performed by the Knott County DAV Chapter 171. Burial followed at the Williams and Blair Family Cemetery in Pinetop under the direction of the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Hindman. Eversole, Thomas E.-- Age 85, of 2514 New Castle Dr., Dayton, Ohio,
died Sunday at the Baptist Hospital in Corbin, Ky after a brief illness.
he was retired in 1961 after 36 years at Delco Products where he worked as a Punchpress Foreman in Department #21. he was a charter member of the Parkview
Nazarene Church , member of the Twenty-Five Year Club,
served in WWI. Survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Moore) Eversole of whom he had
been married to for 62 years. He was preceded in death by a daughter, C. Pauline
Percy in December 1982. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Loretta)
Stevenson; Mrs. Frank (Alberta) Smith, both of Dayton and Mrs. Edward (Florence)
Jones of Deland, Florida; 2 sisters, Mary Carter of Ky; Emma Price of New
Lebanon; 1 brother, Otis of Hamilton; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren
