A host of grandchildren and great grandchi1dren.Mom saw that she needed the deliverance of the Savior from her sins. She prayed and begged until she felt deliverance came. Then she cattle out from the world to show that she was no more of the world and became a member of the Doty Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. She lived a faithful member as long as she was able to attend. Dad and Mom laid the example before their children to follow in their footsteps. Mom was not able to attend church much in her last few years but always wanted to know if we had pretty singing and good preaching. The church has lost a faithful member and we have lost a 1oving mother.

James spent the last years of his life with his Aunt, Essie Sweeney whom he loved very much. Before his death, he said the Lord had pardoned his many sins and he was ready to go home. He will be missed by all those who knew him but I feel like his soul is resting under the Alter of God, waiting for a new body.

Caudill, Monroe-It is with a sad and lonely hearty I will try to write an obituary of my dear father and blessed brother-in-the-Lord. Elder Monroe Caudill was the son of the late Billie and Phoebe Caudill and was born on November 18, 1910. He was called home after a long illness on February 10, 1993 at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington, KY, making his stay here on earth, 82 years, 2 months and 22 days. Dad married Ranie Hampton Caudill in 1932 and together they adopted one daughter, Sally Jane Caudill in 1956. He had one grandson, Allen Monroe Fugate. He was a World War II Veteran, retired school teacher, ordained Minister of the Old Regular Baptist Faith, Moderator of the Doty Creek and Dry Fork Church, and Indian Bottom Church, and Moderator of the Old Indian Bottom Association for several years. Dad told what great things the Lord had done for him and joined the Doty Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in April, 1938.Dad would not have wanted a lot said, only to live the life God wants you to. I feel he lived that life and was a dear and faithful servant. After Mother died many nights He and I would sang the old hymns of Zion and I tried to take care of him and take him to church for as long as he was able. His grandson, Allen helped me faithfully with Dad, without him I would not have been able to take care of Dad for the past two years and I thank God for the love and respect he had for his grandfather. Dad loved the old time way and I thank God for letting me be by his side, singing, "In the Good Old Fashion Way' when He called him home. Dad stopped breathing, looked at me, and had the prettiest smile I have ever seen on his face, and then he was gone. Like a vapor upon the sea. So children, if Mom and Dad are still here - love, honor and obey them, above all — look to the Father of all Fathers', Our Lord God. I feel Monroe's life speaks for itself and I feel with all my heart, that Daddy of mine; also many times I've heard him preach, is frisking on the King's Highway. About a week before he died I saw him like a newborn babe and I was amazed because he was moving so freely and not paralyzed. I miss Daddy so much, but 1 feel my loss is Heaven's gain and he is resting in peace. I pray to God for strength and courage to face another day and that when this life is over, I can meet you all around the Throne of God.

Combs, Doshia-With much sadness I will try to write the obituary of my beloved Mother, Doshia Combs. She was the daughter of John Young and Catherine Grigsby Young. She was born August 9, 1904 and passed away June 19, 1993, making her stay here on earth 38 years, 10 months and 10 days. She met and married Robert Combs and to this union were born 7 children; 5 boys and 2 girls. Her husband and one son preceded her in death. Left to mourn her loss are four sons: Alvin Combs of Enon, Ohio; Kelly Combs of Fairborn, Ohio and Ernest Combs and R.J. Combs of Rome City, Indiana; Two daughters: Grace Fields and Cora Messer of Clear Creek, KY. She also has 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and four great great grand-children. She belonged to the Clear Creek Old Regular Baptist Church for 43 years. She and Poppy joined together. She filled her seat just as long as she could. Lots of time when she wasn't able. Mom was good all of her life and was so humble. She bore her sickness with patience. She loved that good old preaching and singing and for them to come to her home. I believe with all my heart that she is at rest now with the Lord where there is not more sickness or pain. I believe with all my heart she is happy. I miss her so much. My home is so lonely without her. I hope with all my heart I can meet her and Poppy again some day.

Mom along with Daddy joined Little Rose Old Regular Baptist and later were ordained deacons; which they served faithful until their death. Mom is missed in the old church. Mom was a hard working Mother for her children. She always had a loving sweet smile for everybody that all knew and have talked with her. I believe Mom is resting around that bright and shining throne with God. Her work has ended hers on earth where she can rest in peace with no worries or troubles of this old world, We have lost a sweet loving Mother. Children if you want to meet Mom you will have to go to the same God as she did, Mom would want you to make peace with God in this life and to meet her in the land of joy and peace where there will be no more sorrows. Our loss is Heaven's gain* So we must all strive to meet her around the Throne of God.

Tyree, Carl -I will try to write an obituary of my husband, best friend and good buddy, how well we were blessed to be together over a ha1f century. Carl was born August 9, 1908 in Letcher County, Crown, KY to Rufus and Arminta Cornett Tyree, at the age of twenty four in 1932 he was united in marriage to Edith Frazier. She survives him. To this union 12 children were horn. Six of these to adulthood, these also survive, Norma J. Louterhur, Rufus R., Redgie M. of Tiffin, Ohio, Roger M. of Greenspring, Ohio, Caroline Perry of Trenton, Ohio. Also one brother, John Henry Tyree of Marion Ohio. Two sisters: Lake Taylor, Colson, KY and Effie Halcomb of Tiffin, Ohio. A son Riley, a grandson Loran Hall preceded him in death. He has 9 grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter he never got to meet. We are all left to mourn the loss of one so dear. Carl was an honest, hard working man, earning his living by the sweat of his face. We farmed, he worked in the coal mines for 46 years, retiring in 1971. He came in contact with electricity, through a drill held in his hands, never able to work inside the mines any more. He was a God fearing, lived a long useful life, the sicker he became with the dreaded Black Lung disease as it was called, the harder he begged for mercy. His last breath he said, "Praise your high and Holy Name, Jesus". I feel we'll be together in God's Kingdom as one of his little children. We were together on earth 58 years, It months and 11 days.

She joined the Doty Creek Church of Old Regular Baptist in August, 1932 and lived a good Christian life until death. Sister Crissie put her light on a candlestick so it would give light to the whole house. She was a light to us all. We shall never forget this dear Sister in the Lord. She liked the old time way and the old time songs. We believe she has just left a world of trouble and sorrow and gone to a land of peace and joy and that forever more. We could say many good things about this dear sweet sister, Mother and Grandmother, but the life she lived, she preached her own funeral as she sent along this life's pathway. So children, grandchildren and friends if you want to meet Crissie again you will have to repent of your sins and be born again.

With sadness in my heart and missing her very much. I would like to write a few words in her memory. Living by her for twenty years she was not only my Mother-in-law, my neighbor, but also my friend. We had many long talks together through the years. Her life to me was her testimony of how much she loved her Lord. First in her life, she loved the Lord and then her chi1dren. She was a wonderful Mother. Her children and grandchi1dren miss her so much around the home place but we are comforted in knowing she is at rest with Jesus. Mom is gone from the home place but her sweet memory is with us forever,
