Bailey, Offie Boyd- Our grandmother was born on February 20, 1912 at Prater, Kentucky. She was given the name Offie Boyd by her parents, Wesley and Clarenda Boyd and was the youngest of their twelve children. She married George Bailey on June 22, 1935. Together they built their home at Betsy Layne, where Mama shared 46 happy years of her life with her family. She is survived by her children: Clarice, Ishmael, Aquila, Mona Kaye, Freddie,Neil and Debbie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mike, Sherry, Laura, Tonya, Allon, Paulette, Tiffany, Christopher and Leslie, and bytwo great-grandchildren, Ashley and Joseph.  Mamaw was a longtime member of the New Salem Regular Baptist Church where she loved to express her love and faith in Jesus. We as grandchildren feel blessed to have shared so many special times with our Mamaw. She shared with us her experiences and memories which will live in our hearts forever. She did everything from sewing our clothes to cooking special Sunday dinners for us. These dinners were the highlight of her week. Everything she touched, from the flowers she grew to the children she raised blossomed into something beautiful. Although Mamaw is in heaven now she will live in our hearts forever and ever. Heaven is benefited from our loss.

Caudill, John- By the help of God I will try to write a short obituary of my nephew, John Caudill. He was the son of the late Calvin Caudill and Francis Slone Caudill. He was born January 29, 1934. He departed this life July 8, 1988He was married to Esta Pearl Johnson Caudill, and to this union were born four sons and one daughter; Terry Lee Caudill, Topmost, Ky; Cret DouglasRicky Lynn and Jerry Dean Caudill, all of McDowell, Ky; and Patricia Ann Caudill who preceded him in death as an infant in 1979. He is also survived by six sisters Eula Yates, Ypsilanti, Mich; Beulah Cross, Jackson, Ohio Dorothy Hall, Melvin, Ky; Betty Caudill Prestonsburg, Ky; Elizabeth Caudill Jackson, Ohio and Lynn Sticks, Honaker, Va. He was also preceded in death by one brother Jimmy Caudill and one sister Refa Caudill.   John had a very short illness; on June 27, 1988 he had two teeth pulled and a very bad infection set up and a few days later on July 2, he was admitted to McDowell A.R. Hospital where he was treated , and a few days later he was rushed into emergency surgery and placed into the intensive care unit. John then passed away on July 8, 1988, at around 9:45 pm. We saw a change in John's life. But the last few days we saw a great change. The night before he was rushed into the intensive care unit he told his son to take his wife home to rest, but always before he wanted her right there. We feel that John had some things he needed to do, and knew what was going to happen. Also Ishmael Caudill and I went to visit him in the unit. He did his best to tell me something, but he could not speak. Bro.James Hall went to see him, and he was looking up and slapping hishands as if he were praising God. Also a few minutes before he died Eshmel went in to see him and he asked John if he was afraid, and he looked over and shook his head several times "no" as if he knew what was happening.  Esta and the kids would like to thank Alvin Caudill for turning around on his trip and coming home to be with them at the time of need. They would also like to thank the family of Eshmel Caudill, and everyone who helped in any way, especially the Joppa Church and the Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home. So I will close by saying that we believe our loss is heaven's gain.

Collins, Siefas- By the help of God, I will try to write the obituary of our loving daddywho was a very dear popaw to his grandchildren. He was such a sweet loving person, who always found time to say, "I love you." He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky to Jim and Martha Collins on February 7, 1898. He would have been ninety years old in February. He married Artie Tuttle on May 12, 1922. Unto this union were born seven children, three of whom have preceded him in death; Virgie Kind, Irene Storie and Bro. Bill Collins. He is survived by his wife Artie Collins of Plymouth, Ohio; four children Verda Shepherd of Greenwich, Ohio, Eurmelle Collins of Plymouth, Ohio,  Roy Collins of Plymouth, Ohio, Hazel Pullman of Plymouth, Ohio; 29 grandchildren 30 great-grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones. He raised Dellie King when her Dad died. Popaw took her in and loved her very much. I know of at least five more children who stayed with us whence were very small. He was always good to people when we were growing up. He always let us kids know that ha loved us. He was not only a good daddy, he was our very best friend. He always wanted to eat with us at the table and to know that we were all right before he went to work in the morning. I remember when he and Mom would get up early on Sunday morning to take us all to church. We would either go on horseback, or walk across Sizemore Mountain. He believed in being about his Father's business and serving Him. He joined the Old Regular Baptist Church July 3, 1921. He always told us he was 19 years old when he joined the church. He lived a true Christian life in front of us children and when we were married he always taught us to try to bring our children up in the way God
would want them to go. He loved his little grandchildren so much. He wanted them to go to heaven when they left this world. If any of his good friends came around he always wanted them to have a cup of coffee or something to eat before they left. Thank you dear God that you let us...keep him for so long. To know him was to love him. Charles and Priscilla Hall lived beside him for many years after he moved to Ohio. He would talk about what good neighbors they were. Their children came to love him as their own grandpa. Bertha and Terry, he loved you too. I could mention so many that he loved as his own. I could write a book about what a loving and caring person that he was, but he would rather I tell people about his loving Savior, who he has gone to live with.
He would say "Fall out with sin. Pray and beg God's forgiveness and meet me in heaven when you leave this world." Haze, you and Dave were so good to him in his last days, when he needed someone the most. Roy and Lorna and Deloris were so good to help. And EurmelleI am sure God will bless you all. He loved us all so much. Mama honey I know you will miss him and it is so hard to bear. But God blessed you to have him for 65 years, and blessed you with a happy marriage. Thank God He gave us such wonderful parents.  We love you so much. I could go on and on but time will not permit. My husband and I took them to church so many times. We have had so many good conversations with him. I always liked for him to tell me his dreams, because they meant something to me. He told me he had one dream that Bill told him, You are going to come to live with me. Not long ago he told me that in a dream he went down to the water and it opened and rolled back and he saw a bridge of pearl, and a voice. spoke to him and said; A little farther up you are going to cross. Dad you crossed that bridge that led into heaven and some day we will...
come to live with you and then we will all be satisfied. May God bless each and every one of you..

She passed away January 11, 1988, making her stay here on earth 69 years seven months and 28 days. Haley's she was know by all who knew and loved her, was the daughter of Monroe and Darks Newsome. There are 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mom has three living sisters, Hazel Gilliam; Grace Hall; and Audrey Tackett. Mom joined the Old Regular Baptist Church on October 101972 at Joppa Church at Melvin. There is so much we could say about our precious Mommy. Dad and Mommy made our home a special home for us to love one another, and to know the Lord. She was loved and respected by all her children and all who knew her. Mommy loved the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was so happy to get to go to church when she was able, and when she wasn't able to attend, she always wanted to know who preached.  When we had problems, we always knew we could count on Mommy to tell us what to do, and how to do it the right way with the Lord in mind. In the last few years of her life, she was very sick, but she had visions of being with the Lord and her loved ones. She loved everyone so much with all her heart. I know she is with the Lord, because she served Him with all her faith. We can't say enough but we hope to meet Mommy in Heaven, where we can be together forever.
Written by: her loving husband h about our good Mom and what she meant to us and Dad, and how much we miss and love her. Our home is empty without mommy, and family.

She was born March 17, 1892 and passed from this life October 11, 1974, making her stay on this earth 82 years seven months and six days when the death angels came down and took her home to live with Jesus and her loved ones.  She was the daughter of Daniel Johnson and Sarah Johnson. So children get ready to meet Jesus. Don't wait too late. I hope to meet them in heaven, where parting will be no more.

Kendrick, Robert E. Lee (Hobo) - was born October 12, 1910 and departed this earth January 7, 1988. He was the son of the late Lorenzo and Mollie Bursa Kendrick. Daddy was united in holy matrimony to Plum Justice Kendrick on July 8, 1930. Of this marriage were four children eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren  Hobo was a coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America for 54 years. Daddy is survived by his wife Pluma, two sons,Edward and Jack; one daughter Rosemary Hall; one sister Myrtle Conway; seven grandchildren two great-grandchildren. Preceding him in his departure were one daughter Sarah Elizabeth and one grandson David Keith. Daddy was not a member of the church, but I feel with all my heart he's in a much better place. I was with him when my wife asked him if he wanted something for pain, and he said, Sister there is no more pain, and he raised his hands to the Lord as though to say, Lord I'm coming home. Daddy always gave his love and support to his family, working sometimes for 15 cents an hour, ten hours a day, to feed his family. My heart is so heavy  as I try to put these words together. I will never forget that chuckle of his as he peered through the window, watching me leave for work and
those words son be careful.

King, Mellie Tackett-It is with much sadness, a broken heart, many loving memories and the help of the Lord, I will attempt to write an obituary of my loving mother, Mellie Tackett King. Mom was born May 20, 1903, the daughter of Sam and Martha Caudill Elswick. On March 22, 1922, Mom married John M. Tackett and unto this union were born eight sons. The first son died
in infancy and Dad also preceded Mom in death.  Mom and I joined the Joppa Church of Old Regular Baptist the first Saturday in April 1949, and were baptized the following Sunday. Mom loved to attend church and was there regularly until the last four years of her life, when her health began to fail. On June 7, 1988 God saw fit to call mom from this world of trouble and sorrow to rest from her labors. Like the Bible says Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord, from henceforth yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them. As long as I live memories of Mom will linger on in mylife. The only thing I have to worry about is the loss of mom for I am looking forward to meeting her in the resurrection morning when we will meet to part no more. Two more of mom's son's professed a hope in the Lord long before she passed away. Mom was loved by all who knew her. Mom leaves behind seven sons: Elder Arnold Tackett, Hassell and James Edward, all of Melvin, Ky; Garnis of Andrews, Indiana, Clifford of Weeksbury, Ky; John Jar of Virgie, Ky and Elmer of Huntington, Indiana. Also surviving are one brother Jim Bob Elswick of Price, Ky.; one sister Eliza Johnson of Melvin, Ky; and a half-brother James Elswick of Hi Hat. Ky.29 grandchildren 41 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her passing. I would like to say to my brothers that have not professed a hope in the Lord, if they want to go to heaven where Mom is, they must repent of their sins and be born again. As I come to the close of this obituary, I would like to thank the brothers and sisters of the Joppa Church, and the visiting brothers and sisters of our sister churches. A special thanks to my preaching brothers, and also to our many friends neighbors and relatives who helped during Mom's funeral and our time of sadness.

Martin, Kendall-With a sad and broken heart I will try to write the obituary of my beloved husband, Kendall Martin. He was born to Millard Martin and Della Sexton Martin on May 9, 1915. Later in life he was married to Vesta Louise Shepherd Martin on September 17, 1937. To this union was born one son, Charles Edward Martin, who loved him very much. Kendall had four sisters who preceded him in death: Annie, Polly, Lousie, and Alice, and one brother James. Kendall also had three brothers left to mourn their loss: Hargue Martin, Zebb Webband Joe Martin; also surviving are four grandchildren: Teresa L. Martin;  Pam Bates, Charles Edward Martin Jr, Craig Martin, and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Bates. Many friends and relatives will surely miss his smiling face. In 1985 when Kendall first found out he had cancer, he began to take treatments but rather grew worse and realized he needed Jesus in his life. And after many nights while the family thought he was asleep, he was really praying to Jesus to save his soul. On June 18, 1988 Kendall wanted to have a meeting in his home. After services started  he oldest that he wanted to be baptized. Brother Jerry Manns and Brother Raymond Lawson filled his request and he took his membership at the Stone Coal Regular Baptist Church where his mother was a member. So if family and friends want to meet Kendall again they will have to
fall out with sin and get Jesus on their bond.

He married at the age of 17on October 17, 1945 to Mabel Tackett. There were five children born to this couple, Eddie Dean McCown and Sharon Lynn McCown Price, both of Huntington, Ind; Emma Lou McCown Bryant of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.; Jackie McCown Paige of Melvin, Ky,; and he was preceded in death by his fifth child Elizabeth Ann McCown. He was received by experience and baptism the first Saturday in July, 1954 at the Joppa Regular Baptist Church. He was baptized by Elders Jerry Hall and Mark McCloud. He was summoned to preach January 7, 1955. He dedicated many hours to preach the word of God. His favorite song was Amazing Grace, and as the song relays was blind but now he sees. He said many times during his illness that he was tired and ready to go home. So we have no doubt in our hearts that he is resting right now in Paradise. Like in Psalms 116:15, Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Sparkman, John  was born May 27, 1895 and departed this life July 28, 1988 at the age of 93 years. He was the son of Billy Sparkman and Catherine Jacobs Sparkman. Early in life he was married to Belle Slone and they had a large family of five sons and five daughters. His sons were: RAG., Willie, Adam, and Albert of Pippa Passes, Ky, and Wiley of Wheelwright, Ky; three daughters Geneva, Dallie, and June preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters Vertie Huff of Topmost, Ky and Mae Slone of Wheelwright, Ky. Other survivors are: one sister Allie Bentley, and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In September of 1935, Brother John and his companion came to the Mt. Olive Church, and told how they had been praying and seeking for God's mercies, and they felt He had heard their pleas and had given them a home in Heaven. They were baptized, and soon after the church saw fit to ordain Bro. John as a deacon. They served the church for forty years, and I believe he was as careful in his behavior as any man I have ever seen. From time to time as the Spirit moved him, he would come to the stand and open church services, and would offer a very feeling and moving prayer.  In 1975 Sister Belle passed away, and Bro. John's life was shattered. He never seemed to be the same person again. He traveled from place to place and tried many different things to find peace but there was no peace for him. There was a sadness about him, a hurt and lonely look on his face, and I believe that when he left this world was the first time he had been satisfied since he lost her. It now remains for the children to go on with their lives.  They have no reason to be worried about where their loved ones are gone, but in the weeks and months to come, I am sure their minds will go back to the little hollow where they were raised. Where Daddy tended hid honey bees and Mother worked with her flowers; when life was good and death was far away. I believe each of them understands what they must do in order to see them again. So I would now like to join them and say, sleep on, dear ones, until we meet again. May the sun shine warm upon your faces. May the gentle flowers caress the earth where you sleep, and may God keep you in the hollow of His hand.

Tackett, Clarence- With the help of our Lord we will try to write the obituary of Brother Clarence. He was born March 30, 1928 in Weeksbury, Ky. He departed this life September 23, 1987, making his stay here on earth 59 years five months and 23 days. He was the son of Sol and sister Anne (Osborne) Tackett. He married Sister Clara May Dupie on October 21, 1946. Unto this union were born Marlene (Edward) McCauley, Rosalie (Charles) Bradley, Clarence E. Jr (Kay), MaryAnne (Carl) Langlois, Nancy and Gloria. He had 13 grandchild one great-grandchild and four step-grand-children.   He was the brother of James (Leona), Catherine (Conley) Calhoun, Sol Jr. (Joyce), Bertha (Bud) Calhoun, Earl (Shirley), Margie (Raymond) Burke, Robert (Betty), Clara May (Lester) Wishing and Mary (Don) Navarre. Also the uncle to a large number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents four brothers, two grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, five nephews and one niece. Brother Clarence gave his hand in a meeting in his home on December 25, 1963. He was baptized on January 12,1964. He was a member in long-standing at Morning Star Church. He served God as a fund-raiser for the church. All he had to do was to hear that someone was sick or in the hospital and he would be there. I had a sister mention to me that once she was in the hospital and he was there 51 out of 52 days. He was a light to everyone he came in contact with. He was a great help to the families and friends of ones who passed on being the first one at the church and even traveling with the family many miles. We're sure that a lot more could be said by all who knew him. Hopefully this will be pleasing with all. Brother Clarence's heart was overjoyed on September 20 1986 when his wife joined the church and was baptized. He was ordained as a deacon on the third weekend in March 1987. His was the sweetest of ordinations. I believe  this was due to his fulfillment long before his ordination.  Brother Clarence was a special flower to God, who decided he had suffered long enough and finally said come home and be the center of my bouquet. He will be missed by all who knew him. This was definitely the world's loss -- especially those who never meet him. But I am sure that Brother Clarence would say to all, please before it's too late, meet the Lord let Him into your heart and go to church.

Tackett, Dingus - I will try to write an obituary of Dingus Tackett. Dingus was born into the home of Levi and Vina Burke Tackett on February 18, 1913 and passed away April 12, 1988, making his journey here on earth 75 years one month and twenty-five days. Dingus is survived by his wife, Lexie Tackett of Andrews, Indiana; one daughter Glenda McCoy of Andrews, Indiana and one deceased; two grand-children and five great-grandchildren. His father and mother preceded him in death. He is survived by two brothers, Denver Tackett of Halo, Kentucky and Joe Tackett of Rome City, Indiana; two sisters, Bernice Tackett of Melvin, Kentucky and Cora Tackett of River Rouge, Michigan. He has four brothers and two sisters deceased.  Dingus worked in the coal mines for many years, then he moved to Indiana, where he worked until he became unable to work. He had been sick several years. He was a patient man in all his sickness, but we believe the greatest work or decision he made in his entire life was when he saw his need for a Savior for his soul and began to pray to the Great God of the Universe. We believe he found that saving grace according to the testimony he gave to his family. To his children, brothers and sisters, don't weep for your loving husband, father and brother. If you are not prepared to go to that blessed land of rest, now is the time to start. Tomorrow may be too late.

Tackett, Hatler & Bethel- Hatler Tackett born March 2, 1908 was the son of Hiram and Ella Pinson Tackett. He spent his childhood and grew to be a man on Turkey Pen of Indian Creek in Pike County, Kentucky. Bethel Newsome Tackett the daughter of Charlie and Lillie Martin Newsome, was born October 5, 1912. Bethel spent her childhood and grew to be a lovely young lady on Anderson Fork of Indian Creek Pike County, Kentucky. As both families were regular churchgoers, Bethel and Hatler met when they were very young. They fell in love and were married March 11, 1933.The following was taken from a paper Bethel had written herself. In Bethel's own words: Hatler bought a house and some property on Turkey Pen and with what my grandparents gave us and with what I had bought and made, I went with him to Turkey Pen to begin our lives together. In the early forties I began to worry about the welfare of my soul and began to change my way of life. Although I never was a real bad person, I knew I had to do something if heaven was to be my eternal home. With much praying and the shedding of many tears, in June 1944 I had made peace with God. In August 1944 I gave my hand to become a member of the Enterprise Church of the Old Regular Baptist. I was received and baptized by Elder F. A. Hopkins. And to this day I have no regrets, but have rejoiced in my salvation with much peace and joy. On the third Saturday in July 1977, Hatler gave his hand to become a member of the Enterprise Church. He was received and baptized by Elder Eddie Tackett and Elder Perry Jones. That is a day I will never forget. I prayed so hard for that to happen. Since that day our home has been much happier and we have enjoyed life so much by going to church and worshipping our God together. From this union one son was born, Vernon Webster. He was their pride and joy. Bethel's eyes would light up with love when she spoke of him. Vernon married Leona Pennington and they gave Hatler and Bethel their only grandchild, Pamela Retina. Hatler and Bethel's bodies lay side by side on Turkey Pen close to where they started life together. And on the morning of all mornings when all graves burst asunder, they will board that glory-bound train and go to that glorious city God has prepared for all those who love and serve Him.

This marriage was blessed with one son, Collie Tackett of Melvin, Ky. She is survived by her husband and one stepson, Joe Ed Tackett of Marion, Ind. Words cannot express the love and compassion we had for Josie. She was blessed with a special gift. The gift of using her hands in many ways. She demonstrated this talent in the way she prepared her meals, cared for animals, the way she grew plants, and the way she cared for her family  This gift enabled her to become a better wife, mother and homemaker. Josie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She brightened the lives of those around her daily. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The loss we have sustained cannot be measured nor replaced, but the loving memories she has left behind will live in our hearts forever. On October 14, 1984 Josie made a great and everlasting change in her life. She joined the Old Regular Baptist Church and held her membership here at Joppa. Her faith in God was so great that through her sickness she prayed for and received the strength to spend her last Christmas with her family. For this we are very thankful.  Josie Marie Stuart Tackett passed away January 2, 1988, making her stay here on earth 64 years five months and nine days. Tackett, Ruth Henson-
It is with sadness, many fond memories and the help of the Lord, I will try to write a short obituary of my sister-in-law, Ruth Henson Tackett. Ruth was born August 28, 1925, the daughter of Roosevelt and Ceilia Bentley Henson. On August 15, 1947 she married Elmer Tackett. Unto this union were born two daughters and a son. Joyce Newsome, Sharon Mullins and Gary Tackett all of Huntington Indiana. Ruth was ill for around nine years with asthma, and suffered much the last few years of her life. Not long before she passed away, as she was sleeping in her hospital bed, she woke to tell her family that she had been with Jesus and could breathe so good, and wondered why He had let her come back.  On August 11, 1988 I feel God called her home, where she would suffer no more. She leaves behind her husband, Elmer; three children four grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters: Earlene Little and Charles Henson of Huntington, Indiana; Marie Henson, Gearlie Tackett and Boy Henson all of Detroit, Mich; Ray Henson of Columbus, Ohio, and Grady Henson of Rhode Island; and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.  As I come to a close of this obituary, I would like to say to her children that have not made peace with the Lord, if they want to see Mom again, they must repent of their sins and be born again. I also believe that I will meet your Mom in the resurrection morning, and we will go home to be with the Lord forever and forever.

Thornsberry, Sister C lemon time (Tuttle)- Sister Clemontine (maybe better known as Sis. Tee) Thornsberry became the bride of Brother Ezra Thornsberry Thirty-three years ago in Knott County, Kentucky. God blessed them with two sons, Randy and
Ricky, two daughters Vicky and Sandy, and seven grandchildren. Fifty-five years ago she came into the home of Sis. Lilly Tuttle of Topmost, Kentucky, and the late Henry Tuttle, and was loaned until God called her away.  She shared her home with sisters: Clovia Calhoun, Hester Gregory, Afo Jean Jacobs, Selinda Ham, Sharon Walter, and brothers Hager, Harold and Elder Hargus Tuttle. Sis Tee graduated from Alice Lloyd and Morehead State Colleges in Kentucky. She was dedicated teacher for all those years, lacking three years until retirement. She touched many lives in Kentucky and Ohio. Bro. Ezra, seeking employment moved his family toOhio and they had lived here for twenty-five years. Here they began attending churches; feeling she had been born again into the one Church she felt a need for a local home church. To show she was no longer of the world, a command from God, she joined the Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church at Litchfield, Ohio near her home in Wellington. Ohio. She was a dedicated and faithful member the thirteen years she belonged, and was a deaconess of the church the last eight years. She was a devoted wife and mother. She has been highly recognized by the school board the school the teachers all her coworkers since her death. They have paid high respect to her. One teacher to whom she was very close Ernestine Hall Sturgill formerly of Knott, County, the family can never thank enough. They also wish to thank the Pleasant View church and the Providence Church in Knott County for all the love and kindness shown during her funeral. Her body was taken from the Pleasant View church to the Providence Church and buried in the family cemetery at Topmost, Kentucky.  A bad wound always leaves a scar; so it has been with the loss of Sis Tee. Her unexpected, sudden death in an automobile accident June 22, 1988 has left a lot of wonderful memories, but a lonely feeling in many hearts. God loved her more and time will help heal all wounds. God is the one who can comfort the broken hearts. She will long live in many, many hearts of those who knew her. She walked though the valley of the shadow of death,. but He was with her (Psalm 23:6). A great promise from God! God bless all of you.

Wicker, Annie (Hunter)  was born July 7, 1907. She was the wife of the late Crit Wicker and the daughter of Dan and Julie Hunter. She is survived by two sons: Kendall Wicker Loveland, Ohio; Rondal Wicker of Pleasant Plain, Ohio.; four daughters: Gwenda Gibson, Jenkins, Ky. Arvenia Allen Lackey, Ky.; Renessa Bays Claypool, Ind.; Verlie Lavone Bays of Nippa, Ky.; two sisters Fannie Reams, Pearlie Conley; two brothers Simon Hunter , Willie (Bud) Hunter.; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two sons Eugene and Bridge, preceded her in death. Sister Ann was a faithful and dedicated member of the Old Stone Coal Church as long as she was able to attend. Many times when we would have a corpse at the old church, you would find sister Annie along throughout the day. The way to best describe Sister Ann would be" Bold Soldiers All On You I Call."  The Stone Coal Church has lost a great member, the Stone Coal Community as well has lost a great neighbor. Children Mom is gone now to a place of rest to be with Jesus, but the good part is that you can go to be with Mom again when this life is over, if you will come to Jesus and be born again. We feel that our loss here on earth is heaven's gain.
