Coburn, Lizzie- Who was born in Floyd County, Kentucky November 1, 1878, was married to Andrew Johnson on January 3, 1895.  To this union was born three children, to with: Perry Johnson, who died in infancy, Thomas Johnson of Warnock, Ky.; Lilden Allen, Tygarts Valley, Ky.; being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Coburn. She leaves behind her husband, 2 children, 3 brother, 1 sister, 18 grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was baptized into the fellowship of Mr. Olivet Regular Baptist Church in the year 1918 and lived a faithful member for 30 years.  She departed this life May 25, 1948, making her stay 69 years, 6 months and 25 days. The old church has lost a faithful member but we feel their loss to be heaven's gain. We, the church, want to say for our dear sister, that it was good to know you and to have you in the church with us. Your seat is empty now and always will be here in this world, but we understand you only left us to fill your seat among the angels in heaven and now the only thing we can say is dear sister, sleep on and wait for us.  We are coming to be with you in that land of all the time.  And now, I the write, would like to say to her dear daughter, you loved mother and no doubt did all you thought you could to please mother, but nothing could please her more than to know that you have filled her seat that she had to leave empty.

Hale, Sister Callie  Who was born February 12, 1865, deceased July 24 1948, making her stay on earth 83 years and 5 months. She was married to Wesley Hale in the year 1882.  to this union was born 8 children: Mary Ann, Gracie, Roby, Oliver, Henry, Stephen, Bessie and Charlie, who were all left to mourn her loss, but we believe our loss is Heaven's gain.  sister Hale was making her home with her son, Henry, after Brother Hale, her husband had passed on and left her, but we believe that she is gone on to be with Brother Hale in that far off land of all the time.  I, the write, as you, is not this the land of Beulah, blessed, blessed land of light, where the flowers bloom forever and there never is no night?  Sister Hale joined the Old Regular Baptist Mt. Olivet Church in the year of 1920.  Her stay with the church was 28 years. She lived a faithful member until death and always filled her seat as long as she was able. She was loved by all the church and those that knew her. We, the Mt. Olivet church, wish to say for our dear departed sister, Sister, thou was mild and lovely, gentle as the summer breeze, But it is God that has bereaved us. He can all our sorrows heal.  So, dear children, will you now take up where mother and daddy left off and meet them in the land of peace, all shining around the throne of our God, safely housed in the arms of Jesus.
