Adams, Ida     Sister Ida Adams, daughter of Armenda Emden and William Cornett was born at Crown, Kentucky January 22, 1892 and passed from this life August 24, 1974 at the age of 82 years 7 months and 2 days.  She had been sick for a few years and she made her home with her sister Ada Stallard for the last few months.  Ada nursed her so tenderly and kindly that she never suffered and this was part of the cause of her living so long was the good care she received at the hand of sister Ada.  She was a wonderful mothers, an excellent cook , a conscientious Church goer having joined the old Carr Regular Baptist when she was young and worked to feed the church members and attend somewhere every Sunday among the sister churches.  She loved her children and prayed many prayers for the Lord the Great God of this earth to take care of them and to look over them and to cause them to turn in to his offered mercies and believe and be saved with an everlasting salvation.  She had three wonderful husbands and they had all gone on to their rewards but they were all so good to her and helped to always go to her church.  By her first husband she had two children: Crawford and one girl that left her with one grandson to rear, Bruce Sharp.  Her second husband left her with: Maggie, Gracie, Geneva; sons: Ira R. Adams, Ellis Adams, Willis Adams but she taught them about the Lord and about His goodness and to put their trust in him.  She leaves them along with four sisters: Ada Stallard, Mary Amburgey, Nancy Lucas and Maggie Adams; four brothers: Woodrow, Charlie, Watson and Noah along with 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She will sleep the peaceful sleep of the children of God.  Sister Ida was really and truly one of the good, old time sainted mothers in Israel, the kind who are so scarce this day and time.  She was not ashamed to stand up and be counted on the side of the Lord.  Would that we had thousands more like her.
