ADKINS, ETHEL was born March 19, 1908, she was the daughter of JAMES and LIZA JUSTICE. She married PEARL BLACKBURN in 1929 and to this union one child was born, OPAL BLACKBURN BUCKLEY. Later she married MOSE ADKINS in 1934 and to this union 6 children were born; MYRTLE ADKINS who died in 1935, RAY (BOBBY) ADKINS, HANNAH ROBINSON, DELPHIA BAILEY, EVELYN KENDRICK and BILLY ADKINS, who was killed in the coal mines in 1971. There were 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren born to this union

BAKER, IRA was the son of MARION BAKER and LIZZIE (VANOVER) BAKER. He was born May 9, 1892 and departed from this life October 26, 1978, making his stay here on earth 86 years, 5 months and 17 days. He was married to FRANKIE (DAMRON) BAKER on November 14, 1912, who preceded him in death in 1957. To this union were born 13 children, 9 boys and 4 girls: ALVIS BAKER, WILLIE BAKER, FRED BAKER, RUBEN BAKER, ANTHONYBAKER, MAYO BAKER, BOBBY BAKER, FRANKLIN LEE BAKER, SPICIE SHARP, MINDA SANDERS, BECKIE STILTNER and MAZIE ROSE. One son TOM BAKER preceded him in death. On May 31, 1958, IRA married LAURA
(BELCHER, POTTER) BAKER. He became a devoted father to her three children: JIMMY POTTER, CHERLETTE ELKINS and PHYLLIS ELKINS. He leaves his lonely wife, his children, 56 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers NOAH BAKER and EVERETT BAKER, 1 sister DIXIE MEEKS,.BELCHER, BOBBY WAYNE was the son of LORA COLEMAN BELCHER and the late STANTON BELCHER. He was born October 26, 1942 and was killed in a mining accident on November 13, 1978. He leaves to mourn him his wife, NANCY CLEVINGER BELCHER, 1 son, ROBERT MARK, 2 daughters, KELLY LEA and KARLA BETH. Also 3 sisters, AUDREY McCLANHAN, BETTY McCLANAHAN and BRENDA LOONEY; 6 brothers, ONSBY, RALPH, JIM, LEON, JERRY and RONNIE. One brother HAROLD preceded him in death.

BELCHER, JASPER was born September 13, 1891 at Dorton, Kentucky, departed this life May 10, 1979, making his stay on earth 87 years, 7 months and 27 days. He was the son of WILLIAM BELCHER and SARAH SOWARDS BELCHER. He was married to ANNA BELL BENTLEY BELCHER on July 22, 1909, she preceded him in death on November 26, 1960. To this union were born 10 children, 3 preceded him in death, MARTHA JANE, LIZZE and ARLAND BELCHER. Surviving are 5 sons; ROY BELCHER, HOMER BELCHER, RUSSELL BELCHER, ED BELCHER and JONAH BELCHER, 2 daughters; MAGGIE BENTLEY and FRANKIE LOWE, 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, 1 brother; VICTOR BELCHER, 1 sister; MAUDIE BENTLEY.

MULLINS, MELVINA BELCHER she was born on Little Beaver Creek, Ky, February 8, 1880, deceased November 30, 1978, making her stay on this earth 98 years, 9 months and 22 days. She was the daughter of WILLIAM L. and MARY EPLING BELCHER. She was married to ALLEN MORGAN MULLINS and to this union was born 8 children, GRACIE MULLINS, LONZIE MULLINS, MAG MULLINS, LAWRENCE MULLINS, MAXIE MULLINS, JESSIE MULLINS, LESSIE MULLINS and RALPH MULLINS. Her husband and 2 of her children preceded her in death.

BELCHER, NORA was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 4, 1912, and passed away June 26, 1978. Making her stay here on earth 64 years, 9 months and 26 days. She was the daughter of HENRY and MARY FRANCISCO HELVEY. She was married to ED BELCHER and to this union was born 4 children, FRANK EDWARD BELCHER, BOBBY R. BELCHER, MARY R. THACKER and PAUL H. BELCHER who passed away in October 1957. She has 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She also leaves behind 4 sisters.

BELCHER, OTT the son of the late J. R. and NANCY SIFERS BELCHER was born July 18, 1901 and deceased this life on Sunday, June 24, 1979 after a long illness. His stay here on earth was 77 years, 11 months and 24 days.On May 18, 1926, he was married to STELLA STILTNER. This union was blessed with 3 children, 1 daughter & 2 sons. He leaves to mourn his passing a lonely wife MRS, STELLA BELCHER, daughter, LOIS BELCHER; 2 sons, WILLIAM R. BELCHER & GARDON NEIL BELCHER, 1 sister; MRS JOSIE KILGORE, and 1 brother; JOHN BELCHER, and 5 grandchildren..

BENTLEY, SAM he was the son of JOHN H. and MARY BENTLEY, born August 2, 1901 and departed this life on Sunday, December 17, 1978. He married MAYBELLE BRENNAN in 1919 and to this marriage was born 5 children, he was proceeded in death by his wife who passed away on January 22, 1977, also he was proceeded in death by 3 sons, SAMUEL BENTLEY, MANUEL BENTLEY and CHARLES BENTLEY. He leaves 1 son, ROY E. BENTLEY and 1 daughter, THEDA BENTLEY CHILDERS, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grand children, 1 sister, ELIZA BENTLEY MAHAN.

BILLINGS, NANCY (FARMER) was born June 23, 1897 at Boldcamp, Va. She deceased this life August 21, 1979 making her stay on earth 82 years, 1 month and 29 days. She was the daughter of LEVI and LUCY (PERRY) MULLINS. She was married to JESSIE FARMER who preceded her in death January 1, 1929. She later married EDD BILLINGS also dead. She leaves to mourn her loss 2 sons, PERRY W. FARMER and JOHN F. FARMER; 3 daughters, MYRTLE STILTNER BELCHER, MERKIE HAYES and OMA ADKINS. Three sons preceded her in death. She also has 2 brothers, CALVIN MULLINS and EDWARD MULLINS. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren

CHANEY, QUINNEY was the daughter of DAVID and BARBARA BLACKBURN JUSTICE, she was born on June 15, 1897. Deceased this life December 22, 1978. Making her stay here on earth 81 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was married to AARON CHANEY May 15, 1913. He preceded her in death July 11, 1956. To this union were born 12 children. Four died in infancy, FRED and HAZEL died in 1971. Four daughters and 2 sons are still living.COLEMAN, BROOKIE GOFF was born August 1, 1916, to the late COLUMBUS and MELLIE GOFF. Deceased September 27, 1978 making her stay on earth 62 years, 1 month and 26 days. She was first married to EPP CHARLES. To this union was born 2 daughters, BETTY THACKER and 1 who preceded her in death MODIE CHARLES, whos stay on earth was 3 days. She later married LANTA COLEMAN. Leaving to mourn her death besides her husband and daughter are 2 brothers, KERMIT GOFF and CHARLES GOFF, 3 sisters; CRETTIE JUSTICE, OPAL JUSTICE and FAYE
RATLIFF.

COLEMAN, LENA who was born June 20, 1907, and departed this life April 21, 1979. She was the daughter of the late JOHN NELSON CHANEY and VICY VIRGINIA (JUSTICE) CHANEY. She is survived by her husband P. D. COLEMAN, 1 daughter, VIVIAN KENDRICK, 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons. One son P. D. COLEMAN JR preceded her in death. Surviving also 1 sister, ISABELL THACKER and 1 brother, GREELY CHANEY. One sister and 4 brothers preceded her in death.

COLEMAN, NELSON was born on November 9, 1909 and departed this life June 24, 1978, making his stay on earth 68 years, 7 months and 15 days. He was the son of the late DAVE and MARY RATLIFF COLEMAN. He was married to MAGGIE RATCLIFF on March 20, 1930 and to this union was born 10 children, 5 sons and 5 daughters. Sons to wit; OLA RAY COLEMAN, HARLIE COLEMAN, FREDDIE COLEMAN and CLINTON COLEMAN, daughters to wit; REBEL RATLIFF, VERSIE BLAIR, BETTY MAY and BERNICE SIFERS, an infant son, CLINARD and daughter,  SUE preceded him in death. He  had 18 grandchildren and 4 gr-grandchildren, 3 sisters, MAUDE SOWARDS, LIZZIE BENTLEY and GLADYS EPLING also 1 step-brother BILL COLEMAN.

CURE, REBECCA DAMRON she was born March 16, 1893 to the late SPURLOCK and KENTUCKY CASEBOLT DAMRON, and departed this world March 31, 1979 at her home, making her stay here on earth 86 years and 15 days. She was married to the late RUBEN CURE that preceded her in death May 18, 1966. To this union 12 children was born, 3 preceded her in death, ARTHUR, 1 infant son and BILLY CURE that proceded her in death Dec. 30, 1977. She leaves to mourn her passing 5 sons: RUBEN CURE JR, ORVILLE CURE, SPURLOCK CURE, CLYDE CURE and JAMES EDWARD CURE; 4 daughters; SARAH CURE, TINCY THOMAS, FRANKIE WILLIAMS and LILLY OLGERS, 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, MARY STEPHENS .

DEEL, CHARLIE & PATTIE Charlie was born in 1898 and departed this life March 15, 1968. Pattie his wife was born June 21, 1896 and departed this life July 1, 1970. They left to mourn their loss, 7 boys and 2 girls and a host of grandchildren.

DEEL, WILLIE he was born on August 8, 1895 to the late ALFRED DEEL and DIDAMA CLEVINGER and departed this life February 23, 1979, being 83 years, 5 months and 23 days. Will was united in marriage to MAGGIE DEEL and to this union was born 7 children. His wife, one son and one daughter preceded him in death. He has 5 children, JULIUS DEEL, WILLIS DEEL, ELSTER DEEL, GOLDIE BARTLEY and KANSAS BARTLEY. Also left is 1 half-brother THURMAN CLEVENGER, 2 half-sisters, MARY ELLEN STILTNER and ALICE RIFE. Also 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

DUTY, STELLA (BELCHER) was born May 17, 1907 and deceased this life October 10, 1977, making her stay here on earth 70 years, 4 months and 23 days. She was the daughter of the late JAMES THOMAS and MARY JANE BELCHER. She was married to IRA DUTY, May 19, 1932. To this union was born 7 children. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, IRA DUTY, 4 sons: CHARLES DUTY, JAMES DUTY, CLARENCE DUTY and IRA DUTY JR. Three daughters: MILDRED TROUT, MILLIE CLEVINGER and JANICE SUE HARRISON, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Two sisters, JANE BARTLEY and OLLIE MAE SYKES.

ELKINS, ELI was born October 15, 1881. He deceased November 10, 1978, making his stay here on earth 97 years and 26 days. He was married to COSBY ANDERSON ELKINS and to this union was born 11 children. One died as an infant, and a daughter BESSIE WRIGHT preceded him in death. Leaving 9 children to mourn his loss. LORIA ROBINETTE, EMMIE FLANGHAN, MAE EDDINGTON, HATTIE MURPHY, DIXIE SOWARDS, JEWEL POTTER, VIRGIL ELKINS, ERVIN ELKINS and JACK ELKINS. Then his wife COSBY preceded him in death and he later married LILLIE BAKER ELKINS who survives..

ELKINS, MARY MAE (MULLINS) was born September 2, 1885 and crossed the river of death November 16, 1978, being 93 years, 2 months and 14 days of age. She was married to WILLIAM ELKINS who preceded her to the Glory Land in 1962. To this happy union was born 12 children, 6 sons and 6 daughters. One son, JAMES OWEN, and 3 daughters, MADGE, NAOMI and BETTY MAE preceded her in death,leaving 5 sons, PERCY, CREIGHTON, MORGAN TENNESON , GEORGE RAYMOND and BILLY RAY, 3 daughters, GOLDA, FLORA and NONA MARIE, 1 sister, FANNIE CRABTREE, 50 grandchildren, several gr-grandchildren and gr-gr-grandchildren.

FARMER, JAMES was born June 19, 1901, departed this life Wednesday, April 5, 1978, making his stay on earth 76 years, 9 months and 16 days. He was the son of the late DANIEL and SUZIE FARMER. He leaves to mourn his loss a sad and lonely widow, STELLA MAY ST. CLAIR FARMER, 4 sons; ELMER, CLEO,HASSELL and EZRA FARMER. Six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, ALBERT and LUNDYFARMER

FLEMING, OLLIE MAE ADAMS 83 died October 4, 1978. She was the widow of EMIT FLEMING. She was the daughter of THOMPSON and MARY CLEVINGER BELCHER. Survivors include a son MARTIN COLUMBUS ADAMS, two daughtersBLOOMIE DELORES THOMAS and OPAL FRANK, 28 grandchildren

FREEMAN, DORTHA K died August 16, 1979, she was born on June 15, 1928 to ELSIE and WILLIAM WLBERT TOMBLIN. She is survived by her caring and loving husband, JUNIOR, 3 boys and their wives, JERRY and CINDY BRAGG; BERNIS and KATHY BRAGG and GREGORY and JOYCE FREEMAN; 2 grandbabies, her father, WILLIAM ALBERT TOMBLIN SR., 5 sisters, MARY BECHTEL, ODESSA BLACKBURN, AUGUSTA ROMANS, GEORGIA RAMEY and HAZEL RAMEY; 3 brothers, WILLIS TOMBLIN SR., WALTER TOMBLIN SR. and W. A. TOMBLIN JR.

FULLER,  HENRY JR,was the son of HENRY FULLER and HULDA BLANKENSHIP FULLER. He was born on March 2, 1927 and deceased February 12, 1978, making his stay here on earth, 50 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was married to MAXIE OWENS December 12, 1947 and to this union one son was born DANNY FULLER, also an abopted daughter MYRNA LOIS CAMPBELL. He leaves 3 brothers, BRADSHAW FULLER, VIRGIL FULLER and DEMPSEY FULLER, 4 sisters; NANCY, THELMA, FAY and SADIE

FULLER, OBRA MALCUS departed this world on January 5, 1979, staying here 57 years. He was born on December 17, 1921, the son of HENRY FULLER and HULDA BLANKENSHIP. He leaves behind his wife LOUANA, 10 children, 6 girls: BERTH FORD, MABEL YATES, ELIZABETH DEEL, BECKY O'QUINN, GINGER FULLER and SWANEE FULLER; 4 boys, BILLY FULLER, BOBBY FULLER, HENRY FULLER and GREGORY FULLER. He also leaves behind 3 brothers, BRADSHAW FULLER, VIRGIL FULLER and DEMPSEY FULLER, 4 sisters, NANCY BLANKENSHIP, THELMA LEWIS, FAYE DEEL and SADIE DEEL. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren.

HALL, BOOTEN was born on August 30, 1895 and departed this life on April 28, 1979. He was the son of WILLIE and MINNIE HALL. Surviving are his wife MRS DONA HALL; 2 sons, OSWALD HALL and WILLIAM HALL, 5 brothers, MILLARD HALL, MCKINLEY HALL, KELLY HALL, HOMER HALL and FINIS HALL. Five sisters, ADA HALL, VADA NEWMAN, BEULAH PENCE, HAZEL EZZELL and ROSIE BOGGS, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

HALL, MAGGIE was the daughter of ELIZA PIGMAN and AUSTIN VANCE, she was born February 4, 1899 and passed from this life May 20, 1979 after a long illness, being 80 years, 3 months and 16 days of age at her passing. She was married to WALTER HALL, September 20, 1917. She is survived by her husband WALTER HALL, daughter CLARA GILLEY; sons, ALONZO HALL and BENTON HALL; sisters, MOLLY HAMPTON and POLLY ANN HALL; brother, AUSTIN VANCE, 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

HUFF, WILLIAM was born October 25, 1919 and deceased May 1, 1979 making his stay on earth 59 years, 6 months and 6 days. He married JOYCE GAYHART on September 13, 1941. To this union was born 2 boys and 3 girls. JOYCE preceded him in death on March 1, 1976. He then married Sister HENRIETTA PIERCE on September 10, 1977. He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving wife and 5 children and 14 grandchildren, mother and father and brothers and sisters

JOHNSON, HANNAH (OSBORNE) was born September 24, 1909, and departed this life September 4, 1979 making her stay on God`s earth 69 years, 11 months and 20 days. She was the wife of TOMMY JOHNSON who proceeded her in death. She was the loving mother of 8 children, 3 daughters and 5 sons, 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The daughters are, GOLDIE MULLINS, BESSIE LEE MULLINS, KATIE BERNICE OAKS; sons, MARVIN JOHNSON who proceeded her in death, LEONARD JOHNSON, WILLIAM RAY, JERRY DANIEL and GARY CHARLES JOHNSON; 2 brothers, WILLIAM & CORB OSBORNE; 2 sisters, ALICE & ELSIE.

JONES, RUBEL (BAKER) was born to the union of Elder BOB BAKER and MOLLIE (HOPKINS) BAKER September 30, 1910 and went home to Jesus December 4, 1978. She was 68 years, 2 months and 4 days of age at the time of her demise. She married LINTON JONES and to this union was born 1 son, DONALD JONES and 2 daughters, SHIRLEY COLLIER and MOLLIE RASNICK, 5 grandchildren and 1 gr-grandchild, her mother MOLLIE BAKER, 1 sister, BONNIE JESSY, 2 brothers, ROSCO BAKER and BOB BAKER.

JUDE, MINTIE VICTORIA died Friday, December 22, 1978. She was born in Pike County, Kentucky. on April 24, 1888 to the late HIRAM and FLORENCE PINION ROBINETTE. She was married to Rev. JAMES JUDE who preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 sons, T. H. JUDE, NATHAN JUDE and WILLIE JUDE, 4 daughters, FLORA MAYNARD, FLORENCE OWENS, CHARITY BRAGG and GLADYS PHILLIPS. Also 2 brothers BILL ROBINETTE and OKEY ROBINETTE, 40 grandchildren, 77 gr-grandchildren and 15 gr-gr-grandchildren. One son, 8 brothers and 7 sisters proceded her in death

JUSTICE, ELDER JOHN MORGAN was born January 12, 1896, the son of GILMORE and DOLLY MEADE JUSTICE, deceased May 2, 1979, making the time of his sojurn here upon this earth 83 years, 3 months and 20 days. He was married to PLUMA HUFFMAN, June 9, 1921, making the time they were united here on earth 57 years, 11 months and 23 days. To this union was born 12 children, 6 girls and 6 boys. his oldest son AARON, and youngest son JIMMY WAYNE, died as infants. His next youngest son, CLINTON TRAYNOR died at age 17 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, PLUMA, his 6 daughters; HELEN, HELENA, ESTELLE, JOHNINE, JACQULINE and GAYLE; 3 sons, DOCK, DEWEY and WALTER; 1 sister, MARY HUFFMAN, 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

KELLY, HAZEL MEEKS was born October 4, 1909 to WILLIAM and FLORENCE MEEKS, died on July 17, 1979. She was united in marriage to JAMES O'KEY KELLY, January 30, 1924. To this union was born 16 children. Her husband and 8 children preceded her in death. Leaving 6 sons, CRIT KELLY, GLEN KELLY, DAREL KELLY, KENNETH R. KELLY, DALLAS E. KELLY, RUDY KELLY, 2 daughters, SUE CHARLES and JUDY BARTLEY, 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Two brothers, LONNIE MEEKS and EVERETT MEEKS and a sister MOLLIE ELKINS.

KELLY, JAMES O'KEY was born February 25, 1903 to JOHN and HARRIETT KELLY. He departed this  life June 21, 1976. He was united in marriage to HAZEL MEEKS KELLY, January 30, 1924. To this union was born 16 children, 8 children preceded him in death. He leaves his wife and 6 sons, CRIT KELLY, GLEN KELLY, DAREL KELLY, KENNETH R. KELLY, DALLAS E. KELLY, RUDY KELLY, 2 daughters, SUE CHARLES and JUDY BARTLEY. Also a sister, MARY BALDRIDGE.

LANE, MOSE was born June 10, 1888 in West Virginia and deceased this life December 26, 1978. He was preceded in death by his parentsJOHN and MINNIE LANE 3 brothers and 1 sister. He has 1 surviving brother, FRED LANE. On June 14, 1920 he married ARIZONA SPEARS they were blessed with 10 children, all living except 1 son, DONALD LANE who deceased this life in 1961. Surviving are his wife, ARIZONA LANE, 5 sons, ELLIS LANE, CLAUDE LANE, FRANKLIN LANE, TERRY LANE and GROVER LANE; 4 daughters, IVAL STACY, MAMIE PLYLER, FLARNA SPROLES and SWANEE DEEL, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren

McCLANAHAN, ELLIS he was the son of the late JAMES MILTON & CAROLING LOONEY McCLANAHAN. Born May 30, 1907, making his stay on earth 71 years, 3 months and 28 days. He leaves to mourn his loss, a sad and lonely widow, OCIE ELSWICK McCLANAHAN, 4 daughters, MRS. JUANITA COX, MRS. BRENDA JUSTUS, MRS. LOIS BENTLEY & MRS. MABEL CLEVENGER; 2 sons, PAUL  and RALPH McCLANAHAN; 3 sisters, MRS. EDNA ELSWICK, MRS. MAY JUSTICE & MRS. LILLIE STILTNER; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

MULLINS, EZRA was born to LOVE and GUSTIE MULLINS on November 20, 1920. He passed this life April 28, 1979. He was married to HASSIE BELCHER in January of 1954. She died June 13, 1979. He leaves to mourn his loss, his dear sweet mother GUSTIE, one sister, NAOMI; 3 brothers, DEMPSEY, EVERETT and SPURL. He also leaves 2 step-grandchildren, SHARON WARWICK and ALLEN DUTTON; and 3 great grandchildren.

MULLINS, GEORGETTA BEVERLY was born the 4th day of August in 1920 and departed this life on Oct. 28, 1978: at the age of 58. She was the daughter of DELLA ADAMS and the late TILFORD BEVERLY. She was married to WILLIAM ODE MULLINS on the 19th day of October in 1940. To this union was born 8 children, one daughter proceeded her in death. Suvivors other than her husband include: 4 sons, CHESTER LEE, SAMUEL DAVID, NOAH NARVEL & TERRY DANIEL; 3 daughters: LINDA DARNELL TACKET, JOYCE SHARON BROWN & SENIGA ANN BOWERSOCK. Thirteen grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. Two sisters, GOLDIE SHELTON & MAGGIE ADKINS; 1 half brother, GENERAL LEE SMITH.

MULLINS, JOSIE was the daughter of JOHN DAMRON and MATILDA "TILDA" ROBINSON. She was born December 1, 1901, at Shelbiana, Ky and deceased this life on August 11, 1979 in Pikeville, Ky. Her stay her on earth was 77 years, 8 months and 11 days. She was married to ROY MULLINS in 1918 and to this union was blessed with 6 children, 2 daughters and 4 sons, 1 son was killed in an auto accident in 1956. Her husband also preceded her in death on December 8, 1962. She left to mourn her passing MRS. NELL BELCHER, MRS. LOLA MAE WALLACE, BILL MULLINS, EUGENE MULLINS and JUNIOR MULLINS. Also 2 brothers FRANK DAMRON and BEN DAMRON, 16 grandchildren, many family and friends.

MULLINS, ROBY L. was born to the union of TANDY WILSON MULLINS and SABRA ETHEL (GREER)MULLINS, March 10, 1903 and went home to be with Jesus July 22, 1979 being 76 years, 4 months and 12 days of age. He was married to MARY (WRIGHT) MULLINS for 56 years and 10 and a half months and to this happy union was born 8 children, 6 girls and 2 boys. MUSICK, MARTHA was born on June 16, 1912, making her stay on earth 66 years, 2 months and 9 days. She was the daughter of PALESTINE HILL and NANCY WOOD HILL, she was married to JAMES CHARLES MUSICK and to this union was born 7 children, 3 sons and 4 daughters. Her husband and 1 son RAYMOND preceded her in death. Left to mourn her loss are 2 sons and 4 daughters; MARGIE COLLINS,GERALDINE WALK, BESSIE LOU MULLINS, PEGGY CLIFTON, JERRY MUSICK and HAROLD MUSICK. Three sisters, LOU KEEN, IDA MULLINS and BERTHA MULLINS, 1 brother, JOHN HILL, 10 grandchildren and 1 gr-granddaugther

NEWSOME, GABE born January 26, 1909, departed this life November 5, 1978, at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 10 days. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late ABRAHAM and LEXSETTY MULLINS NEWSOME. He leaves to mourn his passing, 4 sons; GARNETT, GARY, LESTER and ROGER NEWSOME, 2 daughters; MRS. JERRY WRIGHT and MRS ANNA JEAN THOMASON, 4 brothers; ALSIE BERRY, MONRO, WILLARD and FLETCHER NEWSOME, 3 sisters; MRS. FLOSSIE KEENE, MRS. MARY TACKETT and MRS. DAISY STRATTON and 20 grandghildren.

PARKER, CASEY J was born October 12, 1925 in Lawrence County, Kentucky, he departed this life March 29, 1979. Making his stay on this earth 53 years, 6 months and 17 days. He was the son of BARRY PARKER and POLLY SLONE PARKER. He leaves to mourn his loss 2 daughters, LOUETTA BICKFORD  and SHIRLEY DAVIDSON, one little daughter preceded him in death. He leaves his mother, his wife CAROL, 2 sons, JOHNNY and CASEY JR. Five brothers, TEDDY, WALTER, BRUCE, FRANK and LEE; 6 sisters, HATTIE THACKER, OCIE SMITH, DIXIE LEEDY, ETHEL DEPRATIC, MARGIE TACKETT and GYPSY COLEMAN also 5 grandchildren

PARKER, RICHARD DEAN was born May 26, 1960 and departed this life July 11, 1978 making his stay on earth 18 years, 1 month and 15 days. He was the son of FRANK and ELICTA PARKER. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother and father, one brother, DAVID PARKER at home, his wife FAYETTA, 1 daughter, SERINA DENISE, his grandmothers, IDA SHAFFER and POLLY PARKER, several aunts and uncles.POTTER, ALVERY died March 30, 1979, he was born March 14, 1905 in Pike co, Ky to the late ENOCH POTTER and BERTHA MARTIN POTTER. Survivors include his wife FAYE FARLEY POTTER and daughter GLEMA POTTER WARD, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

POTTER, HULDA was the daughter of the late BASIL HILL and NETTIE BARTLEY HILL. She was born in Dickson Co, Virginia, on November 16, 1912, and passed away September 13, 1978, making her stay here  on earth 65 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was married to RAY POTTER on August 15, 1929 and to this union was born 10 children. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 children. She leaves to mourn her death 8 children, 2 sons DALLAS POTTER and BILL MONROE POTTER; 6 daughters, DARBRA POTTER, KATTIE LEE MORGAN, ODIE MAE POTTER, ANNETTE POTTER, FAYE WALLACE and GERTRUDE HELTON. Also 2 brothers WILLIAM J HILL and DONA HILL, 26 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren

RATLIFF, MELLIE JANE POTTER was the daughter of the late RICHARD and MINNIE WILLYS POTTER. She departed this life Monday October 9, 1978. Her stay here on earth was 88 years, 7 months and 5 days. She was born February 4, 1890 in Pike Co, Kentucky. She was married to GEORGE RATLIFF on January 31, 1906. George preceded her in death July 14, 1954. This union was blessed with 14 children. Two sons, WILLIAM RICHARD RATLIFF and ELMER RATLIFF, two daughters, THELMA RATLIFFand LAVONNE RATLIFF also preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing 2 daughters, IMEL JACKSON and PHYLLIS JEAN PRATER, 8 sons, ERSEL RATLIFF, LESTER RATLIFF, ESTES RATLIFF, JACK RATLIFF, FOSTER RATLIFF, BOBBY RATLIFF, HARRY RATLIFF and RODNEY R. RATLIFF. One brother WOODROW POTTER, 4 sisters, STELLA MOORE, DOSIA POWERS,
CRISSIA MULLINS and SNODIA SANDERS. Also 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

SPEARS, JOHN (JACK) was born August 28, 1924 and departed this life April 23, 1979, making his stay on earth 54 years, 8 months and 23 days. He was the son of JETTIE and the late COLUMBUS SPEARS. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, EILEEN (ADKINS) SPEARS, whom he married on Nov. 29, 1948, his children ROSEMARY & SAMUEL GENE, 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, IMLEAN RAINES & JUANITA STILTNER.

STACY, GUSTY was born September 16, 1902, died August 15, 1979; almost 77 years old. She was married to TOM W. STACY who preceded her in 1958. She leaves her children, WILLIAM HAROLD STACY, GEORGE ROGER STACY, SYTHA KISER, ORCIE CECIL and LEXIE WEBB, also 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, CHARLES DALES and ALVIN DALES, 3 sisters, ETHEL DELANEY, OPAN LOONEY and LEXIE McCOY.

STEWART, VIRGIE was born April 2, 1890 and deceased this life April 13,1970, making her stay on earth 79 years and 11 days. She was the daughter of the late HARVE MULLINS and LIDA VANCEMULLINS. She was married to JIM STEWART in 1913 and to this union was born 2 sons, ORBY STEWART and AUDIE STEWART

STILTNER, BENNY HANSEL was born March 10, 1950 and departed this life June 20, 1979, making his stay on earth 29 years, 3 months and 10 days. He was the son of MYREL STILTNER RAMEY and EULON STILTNER. He was married to ANNA LEE DALES on June 18, 1976. To this union was born 1 son, BRIAN KEITH and 1 daughter, RAYETTA LYNN. He leaves 2 step-sons, STEVE DALES and TONY DALES, 2 step-daughters, PATRICIA DELPH and KAREN MEADOWS. Four sisters, SUE FOSTER, SALLY LAWSON, SHARON STILTNER and SHEILA DAUGHERTY, 1 brother, BILLY SENTER. He also leaves his maternal grandfather, CARTER SENTER; and step-father VIRGIL RAMEY.

STILTNER, HELEN was the daughter of LUNDY and HESTER LOONEY. She was born March 24, 1920 and deceased this life January 22, 1979, which made her stay on earth 58 years, 10 months and 2 days. She was married to ARNOLD STILTNER for 34 years. To this union was born 9 children, FRANK STILTNER, RONNIE STILTNER, IMOGENE STILTNER, ELSIE SULLIVAN, ROSE SCAMMELL, GROVER STILTNER, DELORIS YATES, EDDIE STILTNER and LARRY STILTNER. One daughter proceeded her in death, LUCILLE STILTNER. She has 13 grandchildren, 3 brothers, CROCKET LOONEY, KENNY LOONEYJAMES LOONEY who died during World War Two. Four sisters, LILLIE RICE, ORA SLONE, MAXIE SLONE and FLOSSIE BLANKENSHIP.

STILTNER, JAMES HARVE was born in Buchanan County, Virginia on June 20, 1895, the son of the late JOHN E. and FRANCIS FULLER STILTNER, deceased this life June 30, 1979. His stay here on earth was 84 years, 10 days. He was married to DELPHIA SLONE on September 2, 1920, this union was blessed with 6 children, one daughter preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing a lonely wife, DELPHIA STILTNER, his only son, JAMES ORCELLO STILTNER; 4 daughters, MRS. ELAINE MATNEY, MRS. IMOGENE COLEMAN, MRS CARRIE SUE MARSCHKE & MRS. JOYCE ANN BELCHER. One sister, MRS. SIDNEY BRANHAM, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Seven sisters and 3 brothers preceded him in death.

STILTNER, RANDY was killed in a truck wreck on June 21, 1979, he was born on July 6, 1959; he was 19 years old at the time of his death. Surviving are his parents RUSSELL and BETTY STILTNER. Three sisters, PATRICIA, TAMMY and TONIA; 1 brother, RUSSELL JR., his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. JONAH STILTNER, 1 grandmother, mrs. ROY McCLANAHAN, also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

SWINEY, EMMA was the daughter of the late ISAAC and MARY SIMPSON STAPLETON. She was born on September 24, 1916 and departed this life on July 30, 1979, making her stay here on earth 62 years, 9 months and 6 days. On July 23, 1938, she was joined in holy matrimony to SIMON SWINEY. God blessed this union with 6 children, 1 daughter and 5 sons. One son preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn, a lonely husband, SIMON SWINEY, her only daughter, MARY ELIZABETH KINNEY, 4 sons, LLOYD SWINEY, DONN SWINEY, TOMMY SWINEY and EARL GENE SWINEY. Also 2 brothers, EARL STAPLETON and FREDDIE STAPLETON, 15 grandchildren

THACKER, ULAN was born in Pike County, Kentucky, September 13, 1908 and departed this life November 23, 1978 at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 10 days. He was the son of H. D. and MARTHA THACKER. We were married December 3, 1929 and to this union were born 6 children, 3 preceeded him in death. Left to mourn the loss are, his wife, 1 daughter, 2 sons, 12 grandchildren, 4 gr-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 1 brother, 2 half-sisters and 1 half-brother.

WALLACE, BEV and BITHA BEV WALLACE was born February 24, 1888, died December 25, 1961. BITHA CANTRELL WALLACE was born December 20, 1896, died April 12, 1977. To this union were born 12 children, MINNIE BELL WALLACE WAMPLER, NORA WALLACE, MART WALLACE, AARON WALLACE, JUDY WALLACE, CALEB WALLACE, VICTORIA WALLACE and SARAH JANE WALLACE. CURTIS, DOROTHY and GARFIELD WALLACE all deceased.

WATERS, IRA GENTRY Was born in Buchanan Co, Va. He leaves his wifeREBECCA LEE MULLINS WATERS. They were united in matrimony April 21, 1921. There were 6 children, 1 perceeding him in death and 5 living, 3 boys and 2 girls, HELEN DEEL, EMMA JEAN SMITH, RAYMOND WATERS, EDMOND WATERS and CLYDE WATERS. Also 2 sisters, SLYVINA WHITE and NORA POWERS, 1 half-brother, DEWEY WATERS, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 gr-great grandchild.

WELLMAN, ROY was born November 5, 1900 and deceased this life May 2, 1979 making his stay here on earth 78 years, 5 months and 28 days. He was the son of MILTON and TINA MILLER WELLMAN and was married to ELVIRA OWENS on November 20, 1920 and to this union was born 13 children, 7 sons and 6 daughters. Two sons preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his loss 11 children, EARNEST WELLMAN, CLARENCE WELLMAN JR, WILLIS WELLMAN, DALE WELLMAN, BENNET WELLMAN, KATHREN WARD, RUTH WELLMAN, LOU WALLACE, FAYETTA RATLIFF, CARRIE SHERLAK and MARY SUE. Also, 35 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

WILLIS, PEBBLE (RATLIFF) was the daughter of the late ALEC and MARY BARTLEY RATLIFF. She was born March 30, 1905 at Ash Camp, Kentucky, deceased this life July 12, 1979. In April 1922 she was married to ORVILLE SENTER, who preceeded her in death in 1945. They are survived by a son, HAROLD SENTER, and a daughter, DORIS SPRIGGS, 4 grandchildren and 3 gr-grandchildren.  In July 1957 she married CAIN WILLIS who survives. She is also survived by 5 step children and 4 sisters, LAKE POTTER, ALPHA THACKER, INAL MAYES and HAZEL STONE
