Cantrell,  Proctor   Mr. Proctor Cantrell, age 55 years and 11 months passed away at the Louisa General Hospital, Louisa Kentucky, April 3 1961.  He was united in marriage to Tabitha Jane Ramey Cantrell, 1928.  To this union was born thirteen children, four preceded him in death: Juiey Jean, Gladys Faye, charley William, and Ishmal Ray.  Nine living:  Eight daughters:  Louise, Ionel Lee, and Betty Jane, Laura and Frances, Carolyn Sue at home.  Nancy Mae Cordle of Sunbury, Ohio; Elnora Price of Johnston, Ohio; one son, Joseph at home, and five granddaughters.  He was a member of the United Baptist Church for 36 years.  He has left his wife and children to mourn the loss, tho we feel sure that our loss is heaven's gain.  O how we miss him no one can tell, tho some sweet day I will be with him where will never have to part.  funeral services were held at his home church at the Bit Blaine church of United Baptist by Elders Jaret Cordle, J.T. Bailey and Elzi Preston. He was laid to rest at the Wheelers Cemetery on Hood Forks of Blaine.

Sparks, Mrs. Tabitha Ramey Sparks    Since our last Association the grim reaper death has cast in his sickle and taken our beloved other from this old world of trouble.  Mrs. Tabitha Ramey Sparks born November 19 1879 departed this life May 24 1961.  Age 81 years.  She had been a member of the United Baptist Church for around 41 years.  Her membership being at the Big Blaine Church.  She was a widow of the late John Wesley Sparks.  She leaves to mourn her loss 10 children, 7 boys and 3 girls, Hewey, Mart, Rich of Kentucky; James w. of Ill. Norvil, Ora and John of Ohio.  Ella, Rena, and Myrtle Gilliam of Kentucky.  Fifty-one grand children, a number of great grand children.  One sister and one brother, a host of relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held at the Big Blaine Church by Elders J.T. Bailey, R. a. Fannin and Alonzo Gilliam.  she was laid to rest in the family cemetery in Elliot County Kentucky.
